Most, not all Nigerians, i have experienced both good and bad attributes, some Nigerians ladies especially are not friendly, they related to other nationalities than their Nigerian brothers.

A senior manager((A Nigerian lady) in a place i work turned her nose down on me, i mean i say hello with smile to her and she will keep a straight face, then i stopped greeting her completely till the day she left the company.

This is common among those chasing papers and freeloads , so if a brother can not offer any of that then you are not useful to them.
She get bad character. Sometimes it is not about nationality but their inherent character

This irks me so much. Useless elitism.

Our society is based on classism which some try to replicate abroad. While in the Uk ( 2006 ish) i used to attend one 9ja association monthly my uncle’s family. The doctors, real estate agents, nurses were the top dogs ( front row seat and respect), those without papers or were doing menial jobs were not accorded with respect. When those big guns had weddings, birthdays. They only invited fellow well to do.

This sort of comment will not be allowed here.

Why is the comment not allowed?

Did he break any of the rules?

Let people express themselves please and as long as no rule is broken, you cannot use your personal sentiments to limit what people intend to say… if you don’t like the comment, then . People don’t have to say only what would appear pleasing to you

Rule 2

What rule?

Off the top of my head 1 and 2

But the real question is why do you a post that promotes hate against women? Even if it wasn’t against the rules, what about it seems okay to you?

Some of you stretch credulity. Ugh 😑

Rule 2

2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland OR THEIR TRIBES.

I believe you were an Mod,

How can we complain of not having a good justice system in the country when even the nairaland justice is based on your personal sentiments..

Tell me how he insulted anybody’s tribe or any nairaland ? If you want to update nairaland rules, then go ahead and do so!

Mods act on their sentiments rather than facing facts.

This is the same attitude that translates to the society where people act without order and unleash jungle justice.
This is total misuse of power

I am not ing what he said, but the fact is that he didn’t break any of the rules of nairaland? And the MOD misuse his power to harass him and hid his comment without any justification other than his personal sentiments

Is that not the same problem we have in Nigeria today?
If everyone begins to act on their personal sentiments, do you think you will be a free woman today?

There are an uncountable number of active female s on this forum, and calling them names is insulting and provocative

Help me understand your problem here, you did not understand the rule you quoted or you think that calling the whole female gender physically weak and dangerous is not an insult?

Do you think that your mum and sisters are physically weak and dangerous?

At first i thought it was an oversight or that she did not notice me but the second time was pronounced but she relate ''well'' with another female Nigerian workmate, though they are from the same state.

What I or you think does not matter…
What matters is the rule
Unfortunately that’s how the world works.

What I would say is you tell Seun to update the nairaland rules to capture that… other than that, there’s no rule broken here

Some people are also reacting to past experiences. You agree to house someone he fit go use your address for fraud, not help with chores and increase your utility bills.

In some of those associations, church and mosque included too much gossip and adultery going on there that some begin to avoid other Nigerians
some good points

The answer to your question is simple:

"I my neighbour" mindset.

Cc: Diamond68
nah brAh you are understating the reason. Someone does not get angry and bone you because of I my Neighbor. Am talking about strangers in trains or buses or on the street etc. These people hate your guts because you are Nigerian. You are who they ran away from in Nigeria. They don't want to see or associate with you in a new land. You represent chaos and corruption and madness

It matters else your opinion on this does not matter. Rules are made for human beings and not animals.

If you think that your mum and sisters are physically weak and dangerous then that is your personal opinion, i don't share that with you.

Now it's no secret among Nigerians living in the UK that the hardest time you will get in the UK will be from a fellow Nigerian. They bone you on the street, look at you in anger, you greet them they don't greet back, you work with them they try to get you fired, they see you in a train and don't want to sit next to you etc etc. It's very fascinating to observe this behaviour . So why does this happen ?

It's very important to understand that the landmAss called Nigeria is just a geographic location like everywhere else on the planet. If you evicted all 200 million Nigerians from that location and filled it up with whites or Chinese, in under 50 years Nigeria will be transformed to a first world paradise and the whole world would want to japa into Nigeria because imagine a first world country that's blessed with that much resources and it's managed well ? It would be the ultimate pAradise on earth. Nigeria has the potential to be the ultimate pAradise on earth . So it's not the country that's the problem, it's the people.

When someone japas out of Nigeria he is running away from the people not the country. And when he sees the same people in the UK he trieS to run away from them. He tries to japa from them. He does not want to associate with them. It's the same people he japA from in Africa. In his mind he associates these people with corruption and violence and brashness and mismanagement and stealing and incompetence. So the Nigerian tries to japa from the Nigerian everywhere he sees him outside of Nigeria

Those are interesting summations.

China is a near-monolithic country in of ethnicity (but for the presence of the Uigurs of China who are mostly practicing Muslims).

So, in of development, if millions of Chinese are transported to take over the entire Nigerian landmass, they would succeed faster because of their near-monolithic ethnic configuration unlike that of the Nigerians who have 250 distinct ethnic groups and languages.

Last but not least, because of past negative experiences with the UK law enforcement and immigration agencies, some folks of Nigerian descent on the street level don't want to get too close or familiar because they don't know you too well.

some good points though they don’t have to be ethnically the same Chinese. These people build strong institutions not powerful men

grin grin grin

Nigeria is the HELL being emphasized on in the religious books. Only Wise People are aware.

I promised my Offsprings who will come from Surrogacy they will never know or hear what is Nigeria or associate with it EVIL beings.
