Good evening house,please I intend to enter Canada with a visitor s visa ..I am in the express entry pool as well.

if I eventually get an ITA while in Canada, can I process it from there while still on a visitor s visa or do I come back to Nigeria for that?
Also can someone who entered canada with a visitor s visa switch to students visa while in Canada..
Please help a sister who just ed the group

Yes, if you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency under Express Entry while in Canada on a visitor visa, you can complete the application process from within Canada without needing to return to Nigeria. Once you receive the ITA, follow the necessary steps, submit your documents, and proceed with your PR application. However, you must avoid overstaying your visitor visa unless you apply for an extension.

As for studying in Canada, applying for a study permit while in canada as a visitor visa holder, has the same requirements whether you’re applying from inside or outside Canada. You’ll need to provide a Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Proof of Funds (POF), PAL and a medical test, which can be more expensive within Canada. Also, there’s no guarantee of approval or rejection. When choosing a school, try to avoid institutions that don’t offer a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to keep your options open.

I promised to share my timeline irrespective of my visa application decision.

The Witchcraft Agent had lied to me that there hasn't been any update on my application for someone who's biometric was done on December 23rd 2023.

I got curious and became worried, confused. All efforts to get access for my details was rebuffed with one flimsy excuse or another.

Then I took a bold step to request for GCMS note.

Alas!
My Visa application was refused since 7th June 2024!

Funny enough the devil's incarnate Agent as at this evening is still asking me to have patience., because I'm yet to reveal my discoveries.

However, Life goes on regardless.

You will book for Biometrics after submitting your application, you will be redirected to VFS website to book your biometrics appointment


Can+ is programmed for those who have visited US, have a valid, or expired US visa. The benefit is that in most cases, your Canada visa processing time is fast and you submit very few documents.
You are only qualified if you have a valid or expired US visa!

I used to think the condition is same until recently. Canadian immigration law encourages intending Intl students who wish to apply for Study Permit to apply from outside Canada except they meet certain requirements/conditions aside the regular requirement of the general study permit application. I believe you are an educated individual who can read and write. You don’t need a YouTuber looking for followers to interpret a simple instruction for you, especially since most of them are not immigration lawyers. You can apply for a student visa from within Canada on a visitor visa. You simply select 'No' to those conditions, and it allows you to apply from inside Canada. I have seen someone apply and get approved, and another get rejected, with the rejected applicant regretting it because they ended up spending much more than if they had applied from outside Canada. So personally, I don’t encourage it, as not all applications are approved. However, as of today, you can apply for a student visa while in Canada on a visitor visa if you have your Letter of Enrollment (LOE), (PAL), and proof of funds (POF), though approval is not guaranteed!!

if one of the conditions is met, you click 'YES'. But if none is met, you click 'NO'. The person clicked ''NO' and still got instructions that apply inside Canada. Is possible, believe that this is a very easy instruction and process to understand. Many people do apply inside Canada, few get approved and after the visa is approved, you drive to the border to get your student permit and still face another set of interviews.But applying for a student visa inside Canada on a visitor visa has no advantage over applying from outside. You still need to meet all the requirements.

You will need to call or chat with VFS agent, they will help you reset your to enable you book a new appointment.

Currently, the average processing time is 176 days. Therefore, I will suggest that you shouldn't worry until it's over six months since you submitted the application.
