But it's the same debt management office that handles both

interest.

Bonds are like extended Treasury bill which you subscribe to with your interest paid twice every year (every 6 months).

Treasury bill = 1 year maximum subscription

Bonds = 3 years minimum subscription ; up to 30 years maximum subscription (with common ones 2, 3, 5, 9 years subscription)

Likely a compounded case, interest invested with capital, all due on maturity.

In the form I was clear that I wanted the interest to be paid.

Still find update on the current rate on the cbn website.

Since you said you were very sure that you did not instruct them to invest your interest with the capital, what you should have done is to have ed them the next week after you were notified that it was successful.

It has taken too long but still nothing stops you from asking them. I have always maintained that once a subscriber/investor hears that the auction is successful or request to get from the secondary investment is successful you next line of action is to request for the certificate/proof of that investment at most a week after if you are not ed.

With the proof of investment, comes all the contract of that investment and then you will be able to query whatever you are not comfortable with right there and get answers.

Just go to the branch and ask the person incharge face to face for explanations.

My officer said we will have to check this week. Let him confirm what happened. That sometimes the interest might delay up to 3 days. And the certificate is not ready for printing as well.

No wahala, just give him to check what the issue is and he his explanations first if not favourable before you take another action.

Normal thing with First Bank is that deduction is done as you indicate interest to subscribe. After the auction, if successful the interest only less charges is refunded to your and if not successful the whole fund as it were would refunded to your . So here him out tomorrow and see.

if successful, interest is refunded to

Don't wait to Invest but Invest and wait

Note the following:
If you want to enjoy the stability of FGN Bonds investment,
You don't want to wait for the long-term FGN Bond is known for,
you don't have a lump sum to invest

You want to be able to terminate your investment without penalty anytime you wish,
You want to top up regularly with any amount from 5,000,

You wish to get your returns every quarter or have the option of reinvesting your returns ie compounding,

Then invest in the SFS fixed income fund at the rate of 17.02% the highest in the industry.

First bank is usually conservative when placing their bids.

It's why they hardly lose out.
