How much they are paying or how much they said they are going to pay? Most of the States haven't started paying the minimum wage.

Here in fct, no one has received a dime

It's unbelievable most workers earn less than 50USD a month.

Like, that's less than 5hrs pay for minimum wage workers in the United States.

We have a long way to go as a country.

It's really painful but comparing our country with the US isn't fair oo. Why not countries like SA, Ghana and the likes even though they might have better pays than us.

What's Abuja? Are you referring to Federal government? Comon, you can do better

Federal government has started paying since September. Awaiting arrears from July.

All nah wayo...
They would announce a high minimum wage but in the reality the salary chart is nonsense...
They would end up adding just 20 to 50 thousand on people's salaries.

I wonder why the federal chart is not universal and used by all tiers of government for their staffs across the country since it's a national law.

What some state is paying as minimum wage is simply nonsense...

It would be better if people paste their state salary chart to compare and you would see the shenanigan in the whole minimum wage hullabaloo. . grin

You're right on this..
Grade 1 will earn 80k flat
Grade 2 might earn about 84k
And so on
By the time you reach GL14..you might be seeing something like 96k as basics..with all emoluments..and tax deductions..you might see 250k or so..compared to 195k collected now..

Lagos state, is paying 85k
Salubata(m): 8:36am On Oct 17, 2024
We heard not all Federal government workers truly get the minimum wage payment but some have gotten, even in this same Abuja.

It's very bad of the Federal government though, the wage is nothing to write a about in reality of today's economy
