Hi Braine, I know your above post is a year old but it actually answers part of my previous question above.
Stage 1. Pre-ITA : Most recent title and then the duration of all the titles i.e start to current (Answered)
Stage 2. After ITA: In my reference letter, I'm to outline the start and promotion/end date of each title. (Answered)
Stage 3: work history and personal history?
I'm currently at stage 3 and would like to know how you filled employment for your work history and personal history? I've worked at same place in the past 10 years, so do I create entries for the different durations of positions held or it is still same recent title and then the duration of all the titles i.e start to current, like Pre-ITA all under one entry.
I look forward to reading your input on this issue.
Thanks a lot in advance.

The same answer still works.

If the roles during the 10 years all fall under the same NOC, you can put one entry for the 10 years. You have to input when you started at the company and when it ended. You will only get one reference letter that highlights the duties and promotions. (I included the promotion letters and salary increments as ing docs).

However, If the duties are different, I.e in different NOCs for each role you held in that same organisation, then you’d have to break the roles down as different entries in your work experience with the same organisation. And then get reference letters for the roles/titles in the different NOCs.

A third case may be if one particular role spans over 3 years within the 10 years, and you want to claim points for just that. It’s basically the same process.

Because your current role has been for the past 10 years of which you’re claiming 3years for points, you’d have to put the entire 10 years your experience section.

If you worked somewhere else or had a side hustle, or companies or businesses and you are not claiming points for them, those can go into personal history. Anything you’re not claiming points for will go into personal history.

Adding unnecessary info to your main sections will just lead to more documentation requests and potentially future ADRs.

Hi Guys,
If anyone has information about this, I would really appreciate it. I got my ITA via Ontario nomination, healthcare stream, during my application I submitted all my weekly pay-sub from 2021 to 2023 to prove I had the required 560 hours(my work hours was a combination of par-time and fulltime hence the need to show pay-subs for that duration). Now my question is for my PR application should I show same payslips I used for my pnp (very bulky file )or just show work reference and last three months pay-subs

Reference and last 3mths stubs. You can also highlight the salary payment in your bank statement.

Good day everyone,

My husband has a Masters degree, which is the degree we evaluated. Is that the only education history I need to add to the Express Entry Profile?
Should I add his B.SC to his education history on the Profile?

Yes, you would have to add his BSc. to his education history.

Mentioned current position before ITA as the only title. Won't it cause issues to start updating per job title after ITA since current position is locked in.

We are allowed and are supposed to edit our profiles post ITA to reflect things as they truly are as we submit our application and to correct any errors made on the profile pre ITA.

Instead i verified my MSc in Operations research.. please how would you advice i position myself better, and do i need any other document to submit as an electrician?

Hello Nairalanders

Hello everyone. Please I am in a dilemma. I updated my profile to change my NOC code and suddenly I received a notification that I’m not eligible for express entry.

I have been in the pool since May. My points is 467, the only thing I changed was my NOC code. So please has someone had a similar issue, how did you resolve it?

Does this mean I have to create a new profile ?

Someone please help. Thank you all in advance

Sorry but was this information stated on the official website?

Official site for CRS score? IRCC will not tell you this. It's something you can stimulate yourself and work towards if you want.

1. You have to create a new profile.

2. The minimum POF requirement was reviewed upward in June 2024, please do your research and update accordingly when creating your new profile.

All the best.

Hello everyone,

I’ve been on this EE journey for 2 years now and would appreciate advice on how to proceed. I started off last year with 440 point and wrote TCF this year to boost my points. Unfortunately I didn't do as well and have only been able to pull through to 482. I highly doubt that I can improve if I rewrite. Any advice on what I can do ? I’m very close to giving up but Nigeria sad .

Hi everyone,

Thanks to braine and GraciousWords who helped me out on work reference issues. However, I'm back again but this time, it concern proof of funds this time.

I will be receiving payment of 20 million naira for the sale of my house from a buyer this Friday (and possibly convert into dollars in a dom to be used as part of my POF). While the name on the house is my sister's, I have borne the burden of equity and monthly mortgage payments from inception. So the house is technically mine. She got the house for me through the housing scheme of her place of employment that's why it was in her name.

I need guidance on how to explain this lump sum given.

Depending on your Noc, 482 is competitive enough to position you for either CBD or Ontario’s pnp. Seems like your TCF score wasn’t up to a band 7 cos you should have been eligible for French draws.

No it’s not up to band 7. I’m in the arts/communication industry so I don’t qualify for most CBDs.

Hi Mina, I feel your pain. The exam isn't easy and with the current cost cry . Yet, you see that "but Nigeria", is enough reason you shouldn't give up. You're here already, the only way if forward.
Whatever it takes to improve(which you CAN), please do it. Check out the TEF/TCF thread, Identify your problem areas, ask questions, a tutor, DM people etc so many have done it and so can you. There's light at the end of the tunnel you dig.

Wish you all the best.

Good Afternoon Nairalanders,

Please what's a text file? The studio that took my port don't issue receipt so, l want to use a text file as it can be used for when there's no receipt as highlighted on the screenshot that l have attached to this message.

Most UK bank letters aren’t stamped and signed, so I used a bank statement from my bank in Nigeria.

Nothing to worry about.

Convert and lodge in your Dom or a Mutual fund .

For mutual fund you will simply be given an investment certificate, which is the best. No questions asked.

Alternatively just keep your house sale agreement and use that in a LOE when you are submitting explaining the source of funds.

I actually used my investment certificate, my pension certificate and treasury bills certificate, packed all in an LOE and tabulated each cash flow in CAD for easy analysis.

Don't worry too much about it, as long as the bar the requirement you are good.
