HELLO, i want to help a sister fill the US visa application, but i noticed the appointment portal ha s been changed. the sister pay the application fees to gtb but now i can see the new avis portal for the appointment i can only see first bank there, plesase how can i go about the appointment booking since the fees is paid to gt thanks, please i need help on this

* You cannot use the old GTB VISA fee payment receipt to book appointment on the new website just straight away like that.

1. Visit the new website AVITS ;

https://www.usvisaappt.com/visaapplicantui/

Then sign up with the applicant's details and after g up, go to on your left hand side to open a ticket (complain message). You will have to attach the applicant MRV payment receipt from GTB along with the message, explaining to them to grant her appointment booking access.

Please help me with clarification. Last year April I made payment for my son's visa. The available date was for October 2024. I was just told that my visa fee has expired so I will have to start again even though I got an appointment date for this year.

Due to the system migration, I was expecting to get an email which I am yet to receive. Please advise me on what to do.

* You were told that your visa fee has expired . Who told you ?

*. You will have to start again, even though you got appointment date for this year. What month ?

PS: If someone generalized an answer to your questions, you will by then come out in arguments and started narrating the real occurrence.

Below are the few things I will do,

AVITS: Call or chat with AVITS (https://usvisaappt.com/visa/) to file a complaint.

Check Your Spam Folder: If you don’t find any relevant emails, visit the AVITS page and use the “Forgotten ” option to generate a new . Ensure you use the email associated with the old appointment website.

Visit the Embassy: If the above steps don’t yield positive results, visit the embassy in October. Even if you haven’t received the email migration details, your appointment date remains the same. Bring all necessary documents (DS-160, old appointment letter, etc.). If you miss this appointment, you may not be able to reschedule

Hello my good people,

So I have couple questions I would like to ask;
1. I have a payment for my B1/B2 visa fee since may this year and I have filled out and submitted the ds160 form but the issue is that I have the appointment booking to an agent and paid him because I thought he could help me get earlier date but unfortunately he hasn’t been able to book me an appointment till now pls what advise can anyone give me pls?

2. I saw a post on here few minutes ago that led me to asking this this question, I have a brother in the USA and he was the one that ask me to apply for the visiting visa, though he’s already a citizen and also has he’s on running company. So my question is that can I still go ahead with the visa processing since he would be the one to submit POF?

* Yes, your VISA appointment date is still valid. You may visit the new website AVIT to sign up . Do not do any other thing inside your profile after g up, than to open a ticket (complain message) and attach your October 16th appointment letter , asking them to activate your profile.

* If you keep waiting the embassy will still definitely send an activation email to you b/cos they have your records , therefore, be certain to check spam, junk and inbox emails once in a day.

You can call the help-desk too. Your calls that is put to the helpline is being picked randomly, hence, a new inexperienced staff might have answered you in a hasty manner without cross checking the facts. Sometimes, they just told you something to make you hang-up when they are exhausted. It's good to keep calling.

1. Your agent likely paid your VISA fee with the old method (GTB), but could not start the appointment booking for you b/cos your then CGI profile was at the state of " pending appointment request" in which he or she cannot do anything until the embassy grant the request. * Tell your agent to visit the new website (AVITS) in order to sign up for you and open a complain ticket, by attaching your VISA fee payment receipt or previous appointment, and explain the situation, perhaps, the embassy will activate your profile with access to continue with your appointment booking. VISA fee payment is actually valid for one year.

2. No matter how strong the status of your brother in the USA, or how richer he is, you must individually prove to the consular that you have ties to Nigeria , genuine intentions, and especially, the utmost importance of your visiting. The entry-record of your brother will also be put into consideration, because the embassy will conduct a background checks on him. People have abused the old open-doors of visiting blood relatives, hence, it is now one of the hardest routes.

3. If you are an established personality in Nigeria, with good overall profile (ie travel history, academic, family, business etc), and your brother is about to wed, or his children are about graduating from college or he wants you to come and facilitate a t-family business etc, then, your B1/B2 VISA application success can be placed on 85/100%. Otherwise, i would rather you applied on your own, ie study or personal visit without dragging your brother into it.
