I still have not been able to resolve it and painstakingly so. I have called and they told me they have escalated it and that I should watch out (both my inbox and spam) for a new activation link. Pls let’s things before we advise folks hereπŸ™ because the advice to delete my profile came from this thread and now I am facing the music. Pls you are better off calling the number and surprisingly they always pick calls all the time, worse case scenario, 5 minutes wait time. Keep calling and calling at least you are rest assured and guaranteed of the quality of advice you are receiving.

Please who can assist or advice further on how to schedule an appointment for interview on section 221g grounds for Physical Interview.

nothing is helping out on the sites ( My IW application was submitted before the 26th Aug and 221g form received 12th Sept 2024)

1. Don't mind that poster if you don't want to wait for ever (except if you do not have double profiles).

2. Former website , UStraveldocs does not give opportunity to delete profile, you have to CGI in order to merge or delete double profiles. But, the new AVITS gives room for individual deletion because they want to ease their staffs some burden of overloads (work).

3. Deletion is not necessary or compulsory, but if you have multiple profiles, you can delete all of your s and open another one (with different email and phone number ). I have personally done this, not generalisation.

It is well……..Every advice should be corroborated by the Avits team. It doesn’t really cost the poser anything other than just a few minutes of airtime. If you even have wifi, it is literally free because it’s done online via their website. And the good part is that they will always pick the calls, if I had known there pick calls, I wouldn’t have followed the advice that inactivated my name.

There is no harm in corroborating EVERY advice.

There is also a section , where you are not supposed to write anything in the middle name, and if you do it will pop up double profile.

PS: In whatever way, my priority is to give the best of my knowledge in guiding applicants here. I may not be right all the time, but that percentage is 20% over 100. I triple check with various means , before i post on public forum, knowing that my reputation is at stake .

1. Those questions cannot help you in the case of 221g, because 221g is settled via individual case demands. Mr A 221g can be resolved within 2-weeks , while Mr B 221g can take 1 - year , and Mr B might even get arrested if need be.

2. The slip asked you to send the requirements to the email (provided by the embassy) with a scan copy of your travel port ( bio-data page) ? If yes, then you have to wait for the email notification for further instructions.

Yes, I was given my port, and asked to return it with the police certificate. The ceac.state.gov site provided to documents doesn't have that option. This is the letter I was given.

1. Cancel your appointment request. It will delete all details you have and you will need to start all over . You can then start all over with a new email and phone number , and only quote your recent and confirmed MRV payment acknowledgement.
Don't raise any ticket about your double payment of MRV again, if you do, you won't be granted visa appointment.

I had this problem too. What I did was to create a ticket and kept calling them. Eventually, they merged the two s but I doubt you will be able to use the payment before. You may have to pay another visa fee.

I've got someone that was given a 221g also, the person created a profile on avits put it's always saying entered case ID is wrong please try again. So we just ignored and went submitted to OIS for dropoff. I would like to know if your case iD goes through.

Were you about to proceed and select interview date after 24hrs?

It is working, click the "generate" button and it generate a reciept that shows a section for Non-FBN holder. Click the hyperlink and you will be prompted to submit some information. After which it will generate a FBN for you to pay into. Once you made payment into that , it automatically confirms payment.

NB: That was based on my experience yesternight. Waiting for the 24hrs wait before booking appointment.

Wrong Case ID number is synonymous with 221g, and other type of VISA applications eg C1 visa etc and what you could have done is to raise ticket or email the embassy directly.

2. Since you have dropped off successfully with OIS, and they collected your documents, then i believe the embassy is processing your VISA application, and if need be ' auto-correct your Case ID stuff or call your attention to it.

3. 221g decision is unpredictable, but
ABUJA post says : if 60 days has ed that we have ed you about your 221g case, you should us, while LAGOS post says if 90 days has ed. Therefore, you can use any of the email i quoted on my last response to @Shantymartin12 based on your submission post to the USA embassy after those aforementioned periods, to know the status of your application.

PS: You can track your VISA status on OIS website too.

They have confirmed that they can see my payment from their end, but I cannot see it from my end. That is the main issue at hand, hence I cannot book an appointment. But let me shut down my computer for a while and do as you say.
