Chelsea has never been a slow starter in the season.

If there's quality and competence it would be seen from the start of the season. If it's going to be a crap season it will also hlbe obvious from the start as well.

Maresca understands the Jackson moves the ball during build-up play with alacrity; which allows his system to work effectively. The system relies on all casts arriving in the box for a higher xG. Maresca understands that the sacrifice is that Jackson is not as clinical as Haaland, and he still misses a handful..... but the collective team effort will be better for it.

It's very similar to what Maresca said about Sanchez's mistakes yesterday.

Remove Jackson, put Osimhen, and xG for all casts probably reduces. Osimhen probably doesn't even get to be in position to miss the chances that Jackson is missing in the first place. Overall movement, fluidity and collective effort reduces, which could reflect on overall scoring output.... whereas Osimhen might be topping the charts in the league.

This is how system football works. It does not mean that "removing this player for that player", and now everything starts to click. The only way it works better is if you can find a player that combines the best qualities of Jackson and Haaland.

I have watched Saka over the years and realized that the mumu's confidence peaks when he sees below average defenders. When Arsenal meets an equally strong opponent, Utaka becomes an upgrade on Saka. Fraudster will start forming imaginary pain and limping so he could be excused for the day.

I wasn't satisfied with Palmer's game as a winger and I am sure I wasn't the only one. I suggested he should be moved centrally where his quality can be made most effective. Almost immediately, I knew he is miles ahead of Saka whom you shockingly labeled a world class player. At the Euros, Saka who started 7 games scored the same number goal contribution as Palmer who started non and played less than half of Saka's minutes.

Havertz in 5 games has more contribution than Saka at the euros. And if he cowered like Saka does in vital moments, we wouldn't have that UCL. Saka tumbled over Neuer's perfectly placed leg looking for a fraudulent penalty while Havertz dribbled Ederson brilliantly and slotted home to win us the Champions League. To me, these two scenarios sums up whatever comparison you wish to bring.
