Pedri was also very poor yesterday. How many times did he lose the ball in the opening 20 minutes? He contributed to the sleepy start Barca had in the match yesterday and it encouraged Monaco to come at us very early on and it paid off hugely for them.

The whole team started the match very poorly, losing the ball carelessly lots of times but the chief culprit here was Pedri and then exacerbated by Ter Stegen.

He was not unsighted but left a huge gap between him and his near post so it was pointless diving to save the low near post shot when most GKs in that position would have been expecting a shot to the far post from the attacker.

At this point, he's become a saboteur to Barca's dreams.

If you look at it logically, you will observe that Balde is not progressing. Offering absolutely nothing in offense, very bad in defence. His play now rely solely on pace, under little pressure he will lose the ball,or make misplaced , escorting attackers to take a shot unopposed against an impotent Mats. Most fans will surely defend him and it's understandable because he came out of the academy, straight to the first team. But for me, he's not yet ready for first team. We need another LeftBack. Even Kounde, as an auxiliary RightBack is performing way way better than him.

Nope, I disagree. Have seen Busquet/Masherano giving direction to Mats to give the ball to the defenders when they see that the opposition players are closing in on them.
