Men from the Department of State Services (DSS) have reportedly invaded the Abuja office of the Socio-Economic Rights and ability Project (SERAP) News360 Nigeria reports

Reports indicate that the officers were demanding to see the rights group’s directors. SERAP's X (Twitter) posted a statement alleging that the DSS officers are unlawfully occupying their office and calling on President Tinubu to intervene.

The statement reads: “Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.

President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation, and attack on the rights of Nigerians.”

Tenure protection is like the role of the new DSS leadership. Protect Tinubu's tenure, not interested in protecting Nigerians. An equivalent organisation in America or Europe would be more interested in how to root out the religious terrorism and banditry ravaging Nigerians, than going after government critics.
