Averting Economic Chaos and Social Unrest

Dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,

I write to you today as one of your last few well-wishers, urging you to take immediate action to address the crippling issues in the energy sector. The situation has reached a boiling point, and I fear that if left unchecked, it will lead to unprecedented social unrest and destruction.

The Alarming State of Affairs

In the North, petrol prices have skyrocketed to as high as ₦1,000 per liter, same situation is currently been witnessed in Lagos and most part of Nigeria making it a luxury only a few can afford. The scarcity of fuel has brought economic activities to a grinding halt, and the masses are suffering from the indirect effect this will have on food price and price gauging. Food prices are already out of reach for many, and if this situation persists, it will lead to widespread hunger and desperation.I advise that's if this last a little while, going to Street and destruction will not be by notice and engagement from the informed elites but by blood against bullets from the hungry illiterate and literate Nigerians across regions (God forbids).

Urgent Recommendations

To avert this impending disaster, I implore you to take the following immediate actions:

1. Cap the FOREX rate
Direct the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to cap the FOREX rate at ₦700-₦900 to stabilize the economy and reduce the pressure on the federal government.
2. Reduce spending allocation
Instruct the Presidential Budget and Monitoring Office to reduce spending allocation for capital expenditures, except for critical projects, to alleviate pressure on the federal government's non-essential needs.
3. Reduce FAAC allocation
Immediately reduce the Federation Allocation Committee (FAAC) allocation to states to prevent further economic strain.
4. Increase oil production
Take drastic measures to increase oil production, as this is the easiest way to reduce pressure and hunger in the land. Heads must roll if this is not achieved.

Past Governments Recap
As we all know before now, the former President Olusegun Obasanjo took on Telecommunications and Finance sector headlong, President Muhammad Buhari took on the Energy sector by assisting and facilitating Dangote Refinery, he went further to Collaborate with Siemens to provide power infrastructure and help in Power generation and PMB also prioritized Rail construction a subsector of Transportation sector.

A Legacy at Stake

Mr. President, your brilliant economic model is at risk of being overshadowed by the current economic crisis steming from change in the Nigerian economic system. You have the opportunity to make history by focusing on two critical sectors and living a mark for post istration performance rating:

1. Health sector
I implore your humble office to prioritize investment in state of the art and tourist attraction mega healthcare facilities and health care systems to improve the lives of Nigerians and a become a health hub for sub Saharan Africa.
2. Educational sector
Select from already existing Federal Universities at least two each from the 6 geopolitical zones, Develop top-notch and tourist attractions educational infrastructure to empower future generations. Change the syllables to more practical oriented programs, NYSC purpose should be changed to skills acquisition center,

Minister Wike should oversee the facility provisions within the remaining years of your tenure.
By doing so, you will secure your legacy and be ed as a president who made a positive impact on Nigeria.

The Clock is Ticking

Time is running out, and history is waiting to judge your presidency. I urge you to take these recommendations seriously and act swiftly to prevent economic collapse and social unrest, while the new Free market economic system take it course.

Yours sincerely,

Akatu Simon Adogwu

This letter to Tinubu has motivated me to write to satan to tell him to turn down the temperature in hell and reduce the suffering and anguish because I don't believe satan has his own agenda just like this letter writer is still convinced that Tinubu doesn't have his own agenda.

Hopefully, satan will hear what I write and do the opposite of what is currently done just as this writer believes Tinubu would.

We have seen countless times where governments in power take a leaf of advise from Nairaland and other Media houses to effect changes in governance. Who can tell

Personally, my hope is low. Everyone on Nairaland and other Media houses are currently loudly telling "governments in power" to end bad governance, but I can't say "governments in power" has heard.

All I need the current government do is release good s and records of our government parastatals and co for us to see, since our president is an ant.

Just a list of how much ministries and co. owe NEPA, and how much is spent on various subsidies, will do for starts. But nothing yet. Sadly.

Can you cite such times with positive result and why you think the
advice was external instead of internal deliberations?

Those at the helms of affairs are humans like all other Nigerians, when they come across contents that provides solutions to issues, they borrow a leaf without coming out to tell us where the idea comes from. If Nigerians continue to put their thoughts on pen and paper, you might Indirectly provide assistance without you knowing it. That's my thought over this.

So you are just guessing?

Government is run by money and expertise and not ideas.

Whenever you think you come across simple new "solutions" that the "dull"
people in government refuse to implement. It is more likely that such
solutions have been tried before, reduce politicians income, threatens a party's re-election chances,
too costly, impractical, experimental or even illegal.

Such letters in my opinion are mostly useless but could be effective for getting political appointments.

Increase oil production that is not for you people, why can't every state fend for themselves? And if you have issue, complain to your governor.

Bro Akatu Simon, sorry but Tinubu is bereft of ideas. Even if you give him the best economist to work with, he is bound to fail.
