No, I didn't take any letter with me. And those three are exactly the documents I submitted. Mind you, mine is a fresh application and not a renewal

My local government is wrong spelt on immigration portal, once all the local government populate, I discovered they that of my LGA was wrong spelt instead of East it was written as Ast ( for eaxample: Odan East was Written as Odanast.)on immigration portal, I hope selecting it like that will not be a problem later on ?

Good day all, my friend wanted to renew his port online but the portal is asking for reference number before he can proceed, has checked hismport there is nothing like references number there how will him go about it?

The old port which is expiring soon was done by an agent but he wants to do this new one by himself but he is having issues getting the reference number.

How can him get his reference number ?

He was a fresh port applicant. A fresh Nigerian port applicant is not required to attach an application letter to his or her application.

Letter of identification from Local Government/State of origin or residence or National Identity Card or letter of introduction for employees of the government as a Nigerian citizen stating service number, length of service and designation/rank. The letter must be accompanied with a valid staff identity card.

Completed port application form.

Marriage certificate, where applicable.

Birth Certificate (certificate issued by the National Population Commission shall be required from applicants whose date of birth is with effect from Dec 1992) or Age Declaration attached with one port-sized photograph and duly endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths.

Please does booking of appointment means the day I will go for capturing?

Yes it means the day you will go for capturing.
Ignore that person he knows nothing about the application process, it is the appointment that qualifies you for capturing.

I have made the payment, I have received a mail that said paymemt complete, in that mail is a link to book for appointment, which I have done. I have gotten an appointment slip. They are not required for Nigerian port renewal only.

Evidence of Nigerian citizenship of parent(s).
