Good morning great people. I am based in Lagos. Please I have a Mazda 3 hatchback 2007 module. When driving and revving it the tachometer shows high (at times getting to the red zone) but it doesn't accelerate and jerks too. Please does Mazda have a service centre in Lagos? I would be grateful if you shared the address with me. If not, is there a Mazda technician who can check the body control module of the car and solve the problem?

Your swift response will be greatly appreciated.

Is the M/T light on the dash flashing?

Please after much consideration
I fix the car, bought new gear ⚙️ about 1.8M , bough oil for the gear plus they converted it to a 2 wheel drive said it’s the best option , bought a crank shaft or shaft !

Please should I do every morning, when observing my car to detect any fault, I want to be more observant on maintaining the RX 350
Parts are so expensive, all this axial , propeller
Please guys I need help

Hey, I have been off here for weeks due to being very busy, a good thing you updated the status of the vehicle, I see you spent near 2.5M to get the vehicle at least moving again.
It was an Awd, now it is front wheel drive, I'm sure your wiring has been messed up, movikg forward, i hate to say this, expect lots of electrical issues.
You'll be very lucky if you don't need to spend the same amount or more on another auto trans box before the year runs out. This path you have found yourself on due to being ill-advised will have your pockets jiggled very rigourously, maybe more than once.
My advice, find a good mechanic to revert car back to how manufacturer made it, a good electrician to do the same with all wiring, scan the car (engine and trans) after this, and see what codes you have, if none, and the car drives smoothly, then count yourself among the luckiest of 2024, stay well, eat healthy, avoid alcohol.

It's gonna leave a wiring harness hanging at the rear where the rear e diff locker was before.

Yes, to convert to FWD, do you expect them to still keep the Prop shaft and axle still hanging there?

Hello bosses in the house!
So I bought high mileage car unknowingly, Camry 2014 with over 270k miles. I saw the ad from a dealer in Abuja, I ed my friend in Abj who linked me with a mechanic he trusts to go check the status of the car. He certified the car and told me the engine was okay though he noticed it had been worked on and also the transmission switches fine, that it only needed a few touches and would be ready to be on the road to Ibadan. He didn't mention anything about the mileage, he just confirmed the status of the engine and the rest. I paid the dealer and arranged for the mechanic to do his check-up and drive to Ibadan. Now days after I got my car, I started reading more about cars and their problems, I saw many disclaimers about buying high-mileage cars, and I started thinking I made a huge mistake, and that I had wasted money. No major fault yet, because I have only done short distances and barely drive it. What should I expect when I start making long distances? And your honest opinions and experiences about high mileage cars. Thank you.

high mileage doesn't translate to a bad car especially if it was maintained well... you can get a low milage car and it'd be a lemon... don't be negative minded about it yet... a car that drove abuja to ibadan definitely isn't a bad car.. so keep observing

Hello bosses, greet you all. This is kinda lengthy but I need all the help I can get.

I just got a Toyota HL 2015 ltd plat edition. I got it directly from the US… shipped to lagos. I drove the car for about three days and all was good, no error codes on dasboard/cluster. Now I took the car to a car wash guy that supposedly washes car for car dealers. He was to do a thorough washing of the car. He removed all the chairs etc and washed the engine side too. Now this is where the problem began. When I came to pick up the car, I noticed the BRAKE and ABS error code appeared and a notification saying “Check PCS System”. I removed the battery and it disappeared. On getting home, the error code reappeared. I decided I’d get it checked today. I took it in for scanning today and got this code “C1425: Open In stop switch circuit”. The mechanic guys tried all they could but the error code kept coming back. I know this has to do with the car wash I took the car to, maybe water got in to the wrong place, not sure. Please I’d appreciate any help to get this code off my dashboard. We tried changing Brake switch but it still persists. Attached pictures of the error code too.

Toyota are known to have longevity. The car will perform excellently well as long as its been maintained very well by its previous owners. As for that high mileage, it could be highway mileage which is a very good thing or it could be that the vehicle was used for fleet or commercial purpose abroad.

I suggest your mechanic idle it till it breaks in, it should be fine as long as he did everything he was supposed to do. But if it doesn't work, check the top header. I suggest you replace it.

I did a check on the Vin number, and I found out it was 71k miles at auction, the previous owner imported the car late 2022, he put over 200k miles on it in two years, that gave me the clue it might be highway miles, I maybe wrong though.

You said previous owner put 71k miles in 2022, he then went ahead to put over 200k miles after importing it. How sure are you of these claims?

What if the instrument cluster (speed clock) was changed?
I don't anybody can easily put 200k miles in 2 years in Nigeria, but its very very rare and very difficult to achieve such mileage with such car still looking clean at least from the pictures you posted here.

I ran the VIN check to know the actual mileage at auction, and it was 71k miles. it was imported by the last owner in dec 2022, arrived early 2023 according to the import duty and clearing papers with me. Is it possible the odometer has been tampered with? The car is clean and first body.

These questions you're raising were supposed to be asked before you parted with your cash. It changes nothing about the car or your purchase status now.

It doesn't change the state of the car, enjoy the car or sell it off if you're not comfortable or satisfied with its state.

High mileage doesn't mean they drove the car roughly, drove it from nigeria to Ghana and back on dirty pot holed bumpy off roads..enjoy the car
.some toks cars are very clean, some are dirty and scrap interior and body but still run and drive...some toks I have seen resemble naija used cars with dead headlamps, faded paint, scratches, majority of car dealers usually flash body of cars after beater perfection.

Hello sir, have you tried checking if the brake light works at the tail light.
• secondly did the mechanics check the vehicle’s fuses ( most especially the stop switch fuse) and it’s relay.
• checking circuitry connections from the stop switch to the abs control module for continuity.
• also since the vehicle was pressure washed the abs connector should be examined in case of water ingress that could cause corrosion of its pins)
This are basics steps to be checked first

Good evening,
I have been having issues with the no 1 ignition coil of my 2015 nissan almera.
Recently, the problem was traced to the vehicle ECU. I've ed more than 15 sellers on jiji, and it is either they said I should use an alternative vehicle ECU or buy an older version. Please, where can I get the exact ECU of the vehicle?

The vehicle is in atan,Ogun state.

Pls help

Ogun state isn't far from Lagos state. If you can't find the parts you need, get it from Lagos.

Update: Thanks for your response @Louiscars . I think they did all this today. They tested with a different abs by removing the connector from mine and reconnecting to the other. The ABS light disappeared but the BRAKE light remained. I think that might be as a result of the other connections (the black tiny tubes) not made as it was just a test. Now I don’t want to believe the ABS of my new car has gone bad. Any remedy to this? Is it possible it gets fixed on its own with time? Maybe the water that entered the ABS dries up with time? Any help is appreciated..
