The FBHN trajectory makes common sense only through a bonus issuance. May be a dividend of N1.50 and a 1:4 bonus in which case a price target of N30.00-N32.00 would make sense.

Please this is not an investment advice. Hopefully an intelligent guess.

Hello bro, please how does a bonus issuance affects stock price in relation to your strategy

My reference price when called was about N10.50. Current price today is N11.70. Here is the calculation based on the strategy

H1=3.77
FY est =3.77 x 2 = 7.54
FY x 4 = 7.54 x 4 = 30.00 approximately

75% 0f N30 = N22

That’s my target. If they pay total dividends of N1.00 or more.

So My Target is N22.00

Please do your DD .

Is this the strategy u use in all your buying. If so wahala dey for many stocks That means you can't buy many stock. Then this your 4 yr time frame is not applicable in many businesses. That said, is good to adopt a strategy you believe works for you
Any business on negative or no eps cannot be considered for buy

A clear sabotage of Dangote Industries. Man should just find willing Africa producers to meet his quota. Damn Nigeria and supply to the rest of Africa. But again, they will still frustrate him if he takes that route.

But again, our sweet crude delight is something you can't overlook.
The low-sulphur content of our crude is really an eye catcher vis-a-vis the operating efficiency of the plant grin

The 'sanctity of contract' principle means that legally binding contracts must be honored and upheld by all parties involved, ensuring the integrity and enforceability of agreed-upon and obligations.

In normal language you would also say "contract sacredness" instead of "sanctity of contract"

Obvious our Crude Oil had been contracted out.. Especially from the Afriexim bank $3bn loan.

I am developing what I will call NSEMPA Sentiment Index. Over the weekend I will go through all posts and count the number of times a stock is mentioned, and whether a buy or sell if indicated. Other parameters can be added later in further development. This will give a small weekly data base from which I will develop some form of an indicator to guide people as to which stocks are hot, and so on. In further development one may take the data daily and have periodic totals and averages. This system is commonly used in search engines, polling and market survey software.

So before I go on with it I want to know what people think about the idea. Is it a sensible, workable, or a stupid useless idea? Is someone already doing this or something similar? What may you add to make it better?

I will add that I do have a bit of free time since I am not working for anyone right now.

If dang refinery knows whats good for them, they better forget Nigerian crude and market, buy abroad and sell his products abroad. Nigeria is not a serious country. Its still in the hands of evil men.

The Irony is that some of the IOCs he will meet internationally for crude are probably the same ones in our backyard.. They may have storage tanks and other proxy subsidiaries overseas as the trading arm of the same crude they explored From Nigeria..

In that sense, they sell these crude that left the shores of this country back to him at a of between-->$2-$4 plus other transport cost and logistics grin.
eee get as ee be. grin

On Buying Abroad and Selling Abroad only.
ee also get as ee be. grin

Good idea!

You can create an automated system that scrapes data and runs sentiment analysis. With Python, you can handle the scraping as there are several packages available for this purpose. For the NLP-based sentiment analysis, you can use the FinBERT package. Perhaps when I have some spare time, I will try implementing it for other purposes, such as product marketing and so on.

Potential issues and considerations:

Loop Problem:

Publishing sentiment analysis results in the same thread or community where the data is gathered can influence future posts.
might adjust their posting behavior based on the published sentiment, potentially amplifying biases or creating artificial trends.

Potential Negative Effects:

Self-fulfilling prophecies: Stocks shown as "positive" might receive more positive comments, further boosting their sentiment score artificially.
Manipulation: s might intentionally try to game the system by posting biased content to influence the sentiment scores. grin MH...
Reduced data quality: The natural, unbiased expression of sentiment could be compromised, making the analysis less reliable over time.
Herd mentality: It might encourage groupthink rather than diverse, independent opinions.

Ethical Considerations:

Responsibility: There's a ethical responsibility to ensure that the analysis doesn't unduly influence the very data it's meant to analyze.

Some Solutions and Mitigations:
a. Separate Data Sources:
Collect data from one set of sources but publish results in a different, unrelated platform.

b. Delayed Publishing:
Introduce a significant time delay between data collection and result publication.

c. Aggregated or Anonymized Results:
Publish only high-level, aggregated results without specific stock mentions.

d. Diverse Data Sources:
Use multiple, diverse sources for data collection to dilute the impact of any single source.

e. Educational Approach:
Accompany results with educational content about biases and the importance of independent thinking.

f. Randomization:
Randomly select a subset of stocks to analyze and publish, making it harder to game the system.

g. Meta-Analysis:
Include analysis of the sentiment trends themselves, highlighting any unusual patterns that might indicate manipulation.

Continuous Monitoring:
Implement systems to detect unusual patterns or sudden changes in sentiment that might indicate manipulation.

Sanctity of contract shouldn’t supersede a law.
If you enter into a contract that violates law of a country, then that’s your own wahala.

Lawyers in the house should weigh in on this: I think contracts/agreements are only valid to the extent that they conform with the laws of the land. Am I correct?

If so, "sanctity of contracts" shouldn't be placed above provisions of the PIA act.

This is an national dilemma. Nigeria signed the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), yet the country also used untapped crude oil to borrow money. that crude oil, as a commodity, is sold in future-dated contracts, which can only be broken by force majeure. However, the demand of Dangote Refineries does not fall under force majeure. The traders who paid for crude oil in advance, before the completion of the refinery, are also entitled to receive the crude oil.

Afriexim Bank.
A bank made up of over 50 African Countries as well as Top African private companies, etc .
You don't want to joke with your Credit rating on the International scene..
The ripper effect in the near n distant term is more..
As @Mankind rightly put, probably only a Force Majeure(Covid 19, a Great National Disaster, Govt takeover, coup, or other Crisis)
can break such contract.

I have only one exception for now and that’s Ella Lakes. I will hold whatever the cost!!! I like their business model. And I believe they have the team to achieve tremendous growth. Before the stock crash years back I was into all sorts. That sad experience taught me huge lessons. I would rather stick to this. Stick with anything that you are comfortable with as long as it’s profitable.
