Enough of rhetorics, action is needed.PMS is the backbone of our economy. It’s very unfortunate that Tinubu didn’t address the price of fuel that skyrocketed the price of goods and services in Nigeria. It’s very unfortunate that the hardships under his government is unbearable. Hunger Protests continues as planned and it will be massive this week. It’s no retreat no surrender. #EndbadgovernanceinNigeria

No retreat no surrender. Tinubu will be thought a bitter lesson when things gone down in his government. Price of fuel is still much high. A litre of fuel is #820,#850,#1k per litre.

it’s very unfortunate seriously, things will begin worse in his government. This protest will be much and his government will be the one to be affected much. Niger Delta freedom fighters will take over much of the protest this week.

Reduce it to what? At the current price of about N700, there is an under recovery of about N600 as the landing cost is around N1,300. So, how much should it be reduced to again?

How will Dangote refinery be able to refine and sell to Nigerians if there is no market reflective price? Can’t you guys see the problem? How can any sensible person be asking for price reduction at this point in time? Do you want the entire economy to collapse?

But he said there's no more subsidy payment, only to find out that he still paying some... Which means the price is adjustable...

Governance is for the masses, not some selected thieves, hence He should cut down on political theft and aides

Subsidy was fully removed last year. However, Tinubu cannot force the price to static. PMS price in Nigeria is subject to other factors like price of crude oil in the international market, cost of refining and most importantly, exchange rate. For the no subsidy policy to remain, prices must keep changing to reflect market reality. Sadly, Nigerians can’t take any further price increases again. So, FG have to start doing under recovery to keep the price static.

Most of us Nigerians always believe that price of fuel is directly proportional to cost of goods in our markets.

If things are not so expensive for the common man, I don't think we'd care more about the fuel price.

How can 10,000 not feed a family for a week, and how come electricity is so expensive too, cost of rent etc...

So what exactly is Government subsidizing for it's citizens?

So what exactly is Government subsidizingu for it's citizens?

The part in bold is actually the problem. We are having the current economic crisis because of years of subsidy. We have been running a subsidize economy that is no longer sustainable. For the last 40 years, FG has been subsidizing PMS, Kerosene, Diesel, electricity, gas, university education, dollars, fertilizer, Medical care etc.

For years now, we have not been generating enough money to sustain these subsidies and still do other things like salary payment, infrastructural development, obligations to t venture partners, social investment programs, etc. So, instead of stopping some of these subsidies, government went borrowing to keep sustaining them because they don’t want to inflict pain on the people.

The effect is massive debt, underdeveloped and a dying economy. By the time Buhari was going, our Revenue to debt percentage was already 97%. Meaning, for every N100 that FG generates, N97 goes into debt payment. If Tinubu was to continue with the policies of Buhari, we should be well over 100% now and no one will borrow us money again in the world. The economy would have collapsed.

The reforms, though painful is what has brought a bit of sanity to the macro economy. In one year of subsidy removal on PMS and partial removal on electricity plus floating the exchange rate, the revenue to debt percentage has reduced to 67%. This shows we are on the right track. What we need now is sustainably and not reversal. It is tough but inevitable if we want future economic growth.

He increased the electric tarrif
Removed fuel subsidy and it all went into his pocket
He is tasking companies like dstv, indomie etc heavily in addition to the heavy money they are paying for electricity, thereby increasing the price of things in the market and he is hiding under the global inflation.
He buys yacht, private jet and other things for himself.

That's what I'm saying, even if you want to remove fuel subsidy, why not allow others for the masses to be okay?

Selling at a price lower than the cost price. That is, the seller is under recovering the cost.

It’s also subsidy. The only difference is that FG is not paying any importer direct subsidy like it was done in the past. NNPC is the sole importer and they under recover the cost.

I don't understand if this criminal call politicians are happy when people suffer.

Who send tinubu to increase the price did Nigeria tell him that they want to increase it or anyone can just woke up and increase the price.

The best thing is for Tinubu to throw in the towel. Some of us knew from the very beginning that nothing good can come out of Nazareth.

You don't need to cook a stone before you naturally know the real truth about a leader.
My greatest problem is about those who still have huge trust for this scammer.
