The problem with advice like this is that nobody will tell you such companies neither hire interns in those languages nor developers without lengthy years of experience in it. So, "learning... And looking for..." ,is imo a very poor roap toward the goal of increasing one's chances of landing lucrative dev roles

This, on the other hand, I can't quite tell how true. Can you enlighten the group, preferably with actual job postings or some metric indicating that learning rails would facilitate the target?

I enquired about this same subject, months earlier, on a foreign forum, and was told by the devs there that the myth of "hotcake" is a lie. According to them, there's nothing you can learn now and have job(s) waiting for you the following day. But I'm quite open minded. If you've got a rarely used tech at your workplace or are privy to some hidden job board, I will jump ship from my paltry current job with immediate effect

Banks in Nigeria now hire tech interns yearly. Better to optimize for that in my own opinion

I don't think I'm ready to learn a new language yet.
This Javascript/Typescript I learned must pay good first.
Will go deeper with my fullstack instead, and pivot only after i start eating good.
Better a master at one, then a jack of all trades.

Your profile is only showing for business. What I want to ask you is not about business. It is about how I can improve my programming skills, especially in laravel..

If u want to learn fast buy a course from Udemy,
If u want to go slow and steady get videos and PDF materials from Google .
Then dedicate your time to learning it.
That's just it.

In laravel, I know about eloquent orm, migration, mvc architecture, middleware and query builder. Do you have any other things that I need to be learn before I can say that I am proficient in laravel..

This is web development, there are a proliferation of free courses online.
You don't have to spend 1 kobo when you're still at the beginning stage.
Freecodecamp, codecademy, YouTube tutorials/courses etc Use them!

The only money you should be spending is on data, and a laptop.

I am a dev of Laravel.

There are challenges in the job market.

There is high competition in freelance for the Laravel category. Its war to land a job with entry level.

But that should not be a discouraging factor. All you need to be well established in Laravel are courses from Laracasts. Laracasts cover the whole Laravel Ecosystem and extended, including the likes of Vue, Livewire, core PHP etc…

A lifetime subscription of Laracasts is worth it. You can ask any established Laravel developer.

To land them is an issue.

The consolation I have is that my I am using my knowledge to develop a personal project in laravel.

Hopefully by God’s grace, I may launch it before the year ends.

What has helped me. communities where there are many senior Developers.
You'll hear them banter alot about the eco system and share vacancies.
Direct vacancies as in: "my office needs so and so kind of developer. Know anyone? Please share CV".
They also outsource small gigs often. That's the window I used to get my first gig. Expecting follow up of similar gigs too.
If you want to the group, DM me. Will send you the link.
