Had a little accident bumping into a huge pot hole along Lagos-Badagary express, Vehicle Lost Control and hit the culvet, Bumper destroyed, lost alignment and Steering feels stiff turning to the right side.

Car has an electric steering column mechanism, I was told the column is faulty but changing it at Ladipo, none worked.

Reading online, I found out it could also be due to a Calibration issue.

Is it normal for a car to loose control when it bumps into a pot hole? It's a converted car from RHD to LHD, Also, does anyone have an idea of how to recalibrate Rx450H electric steering column?

Have the car scan if it need calibration you will know from scan result

If you have Thinkdiag, you can calibrate easily yourself but trust electricians to bill you 20k upwards for it

Please I need help with my is250. Just got this car Nigerian used had to do usual oil maintenance after getting the car and after I’d done it, drove the car for a while( say 2 days). I noticed on the 3rd day the engine would misfire and there was blue/black smoke coming out the engine. When I got the car, the mechanic who diagnosed the engine said the oxy sensors needed to be changed and just the oiling. But after changing all that the car has become worse than it was when I first got it. It rough idles while in a static position and the throttle misfires . Please who can help me with this

How was the conversion carried out ....... This is the reason, if my corpse is put in a converted vehicle, I will rise and escape. ......🤣😁

I agree with you, However, the Driver of a converted vehicle should be aware so as to be more careful.

Although I wasn't the one driving, I nor the Driver were informed the vehicle was converted.

I got it fixed, just needed to flush the carbon build up out the engine through the exhaust lol. You have a typical Nigerians Mindset, so so negative

Gs350 is the best of the lot. The driving experience is incomparable to the others.
But someone rightly pointed out that you would need to avoid swimming with the car to preserve the steering rack

Thanks for this, I realised it's AWD unlike the ES that is FWD. I'm not really a fan of FWD that's why I dropped the variants within that range. As for the swimming, I'll do my best.

If cost isn't a challenge, I'd take a GS over an ES or IS anytime anyway.its a better built car all round. I have a customer that has owned his since 2018 at 73k miles, its now 107k miles, it's a daily driver car, till date no oil leak, no CEL nothing. It still looks and feel pristine inside out nothing like EPS electrical problem.
