Since independence in 1960, the north has enjoyed a bigger percentage of power between them and the south.

In all the years with power, what did the northern leaders achieve, not just for the north, but the entire federation? This includes Salihu Lukman himself, who was a high ranking member of APC.

In all, they have left the north in abject livery, poverty, terrorism and banditry. One of the reasons for power rotation, is for all regions, zones and states to be well developed. Rather than leave legacies of development, the leaders have looted the economy, ed hands with bandits and terrorists, and reduced moved parts of the north to war zones. The leaders aid and abet kidnapping, killing and collecting of ransom, while stopping thousands of farmers from working on their fathers lands.

Tinubu is simply replicating the same thing that Buhari did. At a time, almost the entire security infrastructure of the country, were headed by northerners only. If Tinubu uses people that he trusts more, what’s the problem of Salihu?

Now that northern leaders out of position, they should let others who are in position in the south to use the opportunity to develop their areas.
