Is covid vaccine still a criteria for entering US?

It's part of the requirements if you are going for medicals you will be asked for your vaccination history. But if unable to provide they will decide the vaccines you need to take as an immigrant. But this covid vaccine stuff was stated as a requirement in my visa interview mail.

It's been over a year I had my covid vaccine before the interview. If yours is not up to a year, no worries go ahead with your medicals.

Congratulations! My guy's sis got hers too (F4), it was transferred to London. Lagos embassy is still delaying on handing my guy his IL. Different embassy different timeline.

My priority date is 17th August 2015
My DQed date is Jan 2023

Please does this letter signify me getting a visa interview letter within the few months of this year?

This letter indicate that you are now in the list of people waiting for IL. IL is roiling out base on the QD , i got this kind of your letter exactly 3 years ago and since then i been receiving this letter 60 days consequently until yesterday when i got my IL. So u need to be patient when they reach your QD u will get your IL.

Time frame depends on where the Lagos embassy is with your category and many other circumstances that have nothing to so.with your category.

Someone who also mentioned her DQ date and is F1 just shared her IL letter date . Belle77 and her DQ date is Oct 2020 and IL is August 2024.

So Sir you still have a bit to wait. might not be up to 3yrs but it won't be a few weeks.

Please book your medicals, try to get afate before your interview date if possible.
If you can only get a date after ypur interview date its fine. Attend your interview. they will just return your port once they get results of your medicals from Qlife.


Ensure the documents you submitted to NVC are still valid. Eg tax transcripts ( ensure its the recent tax year) and police certificates withing 2yrs.

If you need to get B
NPC Birth certificate (I'm jot sure of the term they call it but it's the US embassy site) please get that ready.

For those who are F1 its helpful to have any pictures of you and the petitioner handy. Especially pictures over the years

Interview is typically straight forward, they just confirm relationship between you and petitioner and that your documents are valid. Anything they don't have and they need they just ask you to come back and submit.

What else do I recall?
Yes the visa they will stamp on your port gives you 6months from the date of your MEDICALS to enter the US.
Once you enter the US that same visa is valid for 1yr. Before that time you should have paid for your green card and received it from USCIS. They will post it to the address they have on file for you( which is the address your petitioner used when they filed)
If you want to change that address ypu can update at the Port of Entry

I became current in the May visa bulletin that was released in April. Got my letter on the 4th of July
