Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 (829229 Views)
BillQ: 10:30am On Jun 28, 2024 |
Boss, I have strong home ties: 2 landed properties, a picture with my mom and my siblings taken in December, survey plans for the properties, my birth certificate, and all. If you follow the thread, someone said I have to pay 2 years' fees and also buy a GIC for two years. I can pay the 2 years' fees, but I only have money for a GIC for 1 year's living expenses and an additional 7.5 million. I don’t know if this will work.

BillQ: Your main challenge will be showing how to raise funds for the second year of school because you are self-sponsored. Except you have sources of income that you can leverage on to get money without you working when you schooling. For the GCMS notes, you can apply for yourself with the free version it is also reliable. |

I saw all your messages about me, whom you have never ed. I have told you several times that you have not messaged me on WhatsApp, and the number you shared is not mine. Those who have ed me on WhatsApp have my number, and I always respond to emails and WhatsApp messages. Calling me out for something I didn't know about is wrong, and I need your apology. I only directed someone on how to apply for a GCMS note. I do not and have not promoted GCMSwriter on any platforms. Please check all my responses here. BillQ: |

BillQ:I personally didn't do any GIC,I don't even know what it means, I always try to avoid complications, you have the funds you have proof to show how you came about the funds, you have home Ties with proof,so paying fees ans showing the minimum pof is good enough either in naira or dollar , I paid full tuition showed minimum pof in naira and that's all, but first are you a first time applicant, Was your application refused, from the reason for refusal you will knowcthe area you need to work on. You're the only one that can write your sop, it's all about you bro. Guidelines first introduction, family background, educational/work background, choice of course/school, choice of Country, finance, family ties, then summary 1 Like |

Please, this is a total breakdown of what I have in my and how I calculated this. Gurus, will this be enough? I really want to make sure before I travel. I have 2 years of tuition and 1 year of living expenses plus an extra 1,856 CAD. Below is the breakdown:** I have paid 1 year full tuition already. **A. Funds Available:** 1. Amount in USD: $26,102 USD 2. Amount in NGN: 7.5 million NGN **B. Conversion to CAD:** 1. USD to CAD: - $26,102 USD × 1.32 CAD/USD = $34,455 CAD 2. NGN to CAD: - 7,500,000 NGN ÷ 1,124 NGN/CAD = $6,674 CAD 3. Total in CAD: - $34,455 CAD + $6,674 CAD = $41,129 CAD **C. Expenses:** 1. Second Year Tuition: - $18,638 CAD - Remaining after tuition: $41,129 CAD - $18,638 CAD = $22,491 CAD 2. GIC for Living Expenses: - $20,635 CAD - Remaining after GIC: $22,491 CAD - $20,635 CAD = $1,856 CAD **Remaining Amount:** - $1,856 CAD Will this go plus a valid SOP? @bobomaigida @JMG12 1 Like |

BillQ: Unfortunately, it won't be enough, The balance of $1,856 can be used for flight fees then you will need $20,635 for second year living expenses. |

BillQ: You guys don’t listen. We have been screaming DO IT YOURSELF (DIY) in this thread but this Golden advice seems to fall on deaf ears. There is nothing difficult in applying for study permit. 2 million naira wasted in this hard economy. This is sad and painful. 1 Like |

Hi everyone, Please when applying for Wes should you evaluate ur ND and HND or just ur HND? Thanks for your responses. |
zubizareta(m): 2:24pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
Jennyogom: Evaluate both. Its to your advantage and counts as 2 certificates. |
kendsage(m): 2:26pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
Jennyogom: You evaluate your highest qualification. If HND is your highest qualification then that’s what you should attach for WES evaluation. |

I recently applied for study permit and VISA for canada and got refused below is the full letter Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. I have reviewed your study permit application and ing documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a study permit (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing your application. • Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). • Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPR, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue. • Pursuant to paragraph 220(b) of the IRPR, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study. I am planning to submit another application. My parents have 50 million naira in bank statement, I just got a sponsor of 10000 pounds from a family friend which isn't available to me but He has printed a bank statement and written a sponsorship letter for me. I also have a letter of good standing for my dad stating it's for my higher education worth 20 million naira a year. I do not exactly have time of excess right now as my school would be starting soon. Do you suggest I get a GIC with 23 million naira out of the bank statement or something else please any advice and suggestions on how I would reapply properly would be highly appreciated |

Hey House, I just ed when I used to be a silent reader here, and I want to share my story to give hope to anyone feeling hopeless. Back in 2015 and 2016, I faced back-to-back visa rejections. However, I finally got my student visa in 2017. Life hasn't been easy, but I want to encourage anyone going through tough times that it’s worth it—don't be discouraged. Today, I received my Canadian port at my house. Yes, I bought a 3-bedroom townhouse 45 minutes from downtown Toronto. I did this by myself, working in tech and saving 20% for the downpayment. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is to encourage anyone feeling down due to multiple visa rejections or any visa issues. Pray to God and let Him answer you. I now understand why God made me go through those visa rejections. When I came to Canada, the opportunities that awaited me were the ones He had planned for me. Don’t give up! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 13 Likes |

Instead of running your , just do GIC of two years. Pay your two years fees also. You said you have landed properties and your parents as home ties. You don't have any big problems. Just explain how you got your money by showing your crypto receipts and investment. BillQ: |

BillQ: Calm down, bro! No agent can guarantee you a visa, your fate lies with the IRCC, which determines if you meet the eligibility criteria. Paying full tuition and purchasing a two-year GIC doesn't guarantee a visa either. We've seen people who only paid their first semester fees and showed that the remaining funds would be readily available, and they got their PPR. Often, your source of funds must be clearly stated in your application, and you need the documents to back it up. Even then, some people still get rejected. I tell people, If you are too busy to DIY, you must ready to asked questions from your Agent, ask for all the docs before the submission. Don't be at the edge of telling the agent to just package everything for you, people tend to do this a lot and they came online to rant that the agent do them bad once they got rejected. Back to @JustMellow, this guy is a guru of the Canada visa thread before they started monetizing it . Those who have been on this thread for 4-5 years will know him, and I can vouch for him. I've been on this thread for a couple of years and got my visa approved through DIY. I've already completed my two-year program in Canada. JustMellow wrote my SOP in 2021, wrote my wife's SOWP, and helped a couple of people I know personally. I did all the documentation and submission myself. While I'm not trying to defend him in your case, as I don't know him personally and have never met him, he only wrote my SOP, I proofread by myself, and I do some addition and subtraction. But I'm confident that if you ask him any questions about Canada immigration, and other gurus on this thread they will provide valuable insights and clarifications. Before buying a GIC or anything else, get your notes to understand the reason for your rejection. Alternatively, if you know someone in Canada, ask them to the MP in your school’s riding so they can reach out to the IRCC and find out why you were rejected, that can be done is just a week. (Note: You can only do this if you have a valid reason or if your resumption date is very close). Please don't reapply blindly, as I can see your funds are readily available. Often, clearly explaining the source of funds and providing documents to back up your claim is crucial. Avoid submitting bulky documents, be straightforward. And, of course, ask questions on this thread. Just to let you know no agents can guarantee you visa, THEY ARE NOT IRCC I wish you God’s speed in your reapplication. 2 Likes |

Good evening all I have a question.. My sponsor is overseas and using her as my sponsor, but she wants to deposit some money into my here in Nigeria as proof of commitment. I have access Bank with some activities, but she wants to use my GTB because it's easier for her, the issues is my GTB doesn't have activity on it... So am asking is it safe for her to send money to my GTB with no activity, will the statement of look questionable?? Note: I am also going to print my access Bank statements. Basically if I receive a lump sum into my with no activity, will it raise any suspicion if I can explain it came from my sponsor? |

I should at school fees and buy GIC with the money I want to borrow? Or did you skip that part?
|
BillQ: 7:58pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
If you can vouch for him why did I get refused? If you can vouch for him why did he submit my application when he clearly knew that IRCC needed an attention letter? Stop this thing abeg, Abi na you be Justmellow? |

"If I pay the two years' school fees and buy a GIC for CAD 20,635, can't I borrow money and say I sold a property? Considering the fact that I deferred, can I reinstate it and submit because my resumption date is in September? |
kennyjoy(m): 8:28pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
BillQ: That's why it's crucial to be fully engaged when you submit your visa application through an agent. In fact, I don't recommend using agents at all. Many of you prefer to have agents handle everything, avoiding the effort of doing your own research. My vouch of him is based on my previous experiences shared in this thread, not on your current dealings with him. Anyone who has been around here for a while can confirm that they knew him before they began monetizing their services. |
kennyjoy(m): 8:41pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
BillQ: Paying your two years tuition is very good financial stand for visa application. Do a two year GIC if you know you have a lump-sum in your . If you don't just put the and explain it on your letter of explanation and state it as your living expenses. If your resumption is in the fall, you can still reinstate it as long as your school has an available seat for you. |
BillQ: 8:52pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
![]() ![]() You skipped the part where I said I want to purchase a GIC? So I should use someone else’s money to buy Gic! |
