What did he do?

What I feel is they may have secretly warned him not to come back to the state for now and he did, so they wanted him arrested...

Why do you Christians not go to Christian court to seek redress?
Or don't you have Christian laws that can take care of your differences?

I am a Muslim. I think it pertinent for Muslim lawyers and judges to find mechanisms for dispute resolution at the highest levels. The Emir/Amir is essentially a religious position.

Not true.
The Emir is a traditional position.
It’s the sultan that’s a religious position.

Some of us sometimes pretend to be ignorant of what is happening in this country . When same law was amended to enable gaduje regime remove a sitting emir without any crime ...many if you said nothing. Sanusi accepted his fate and moved on for peace to reign . A new govt is in place to correct the mistake of gaduje by following due process so as to bring about lasting peace in kano ...now everyone is blaming the govt for cooing the right thing? You re asking what crime did bayero committed ? Well chieftaincy matters are exclusive right of the state House of assembly. The state assembly has amended there laws which enable Sanusi to be reinstated . This is justice . Anyone going against it should be arrested ..isa way of undemanding the authority of the governor who is the person in charge of the state in question .Bayero cannot be bigger than the state . He should accept his fate and move on just like Sanusi did. If everyone devife not to obey state laws will there be democracy ...Those backing bayero is the problem here .

You are the one who is the problem.
We are all following the issue right from the grand father's time. So we understand the roles everyone is playing right from the time of Kwankaso till date.
The question is "why would the governor arrest the one he has dethroned"?
Why would the governor prevent the one he has dethroned entry into the State?
What is the offence?
Since when is dethroning someone now a criminal offence against the one dethroned?
You cannot arrest anyone based on presumptive offense.

Claiming to still be Emir after being deposed.

Can I claim to be a soldier or police without arrest. Can I claim to be governor of Kano when I am not?

A clear expression of the madness and lordship of Kwankwaso is what Yususf is hastily showing. I pity his foolishness.

I regret ing him to win the governorship, not knowing he is just a child

simple when sanusi was dethrone,he went to court and got a judgment more or less stopping sending people on exile.so nobody can send anybody on exile

Why Ado Bayero ain't sent on exile is what I can't understand undecided

The dethroned Emirs are on the low🤷

same question goes to you. What was the crime of sanusi then

Sanusi was installed for cheap political gains against Jonathan…

He now felt he was too powerful to attack anyone he chooses…

He attacked a sitting Governor… and he was reminded why he was installed in the first place

I am not a lawyer and do not know the traditional laws in-depth. However, I know that tradionally every deposed Emir is banished to a certain land. Emir Sanusi was banished, however, he went to court and got a judgement that allowed him move freely as a right of every Nigerian at this time and age.

It's a good thing the Kano government didn't banish him or the other Emirs knowing that a precedence has been set.

What Bayero did is return to Kano which is his right, but going to a palace that officially belongs to the government and then say you are still the Emir, that's even disrespect to the tradition that has given him the highest stool he sat on.

Personally, I am of the opinion Bayero threw all the respect he had as an Emir. He has publicly incited crisis, apart from living in a property that belongs to the state that gave you 48hrs to leave. Even if he eventually wins the battle, he doesn't have the character of a revered Emir and has lost reverence.

Sanusi left and still has respect despite all the dark things he has in his cupboard.

The arrest was ordered when Bayero went to the mini palace and declared he is still Emir.

I did wonder why the governor would order an arrest.

But a Governor banished the former Emir and he left. Between arrest and banishment, which one is lawful?

You have lost touch with reality and I doubt if you know anything about the traditional culture if kano. You need to be schooled in the traditional culture of kano. When an emir is dethrone ..he goes into exile . Sanusi demonstrated all this.. Everyone knows how Sanusi left the state with the help of his friend wike who is dead now . The governor is doing everything right while people like you without the knowledge if how dethroned of emir is done are causing problems in kano.

His dethroning is also banishing him because he was out of Kano for a function and the SG within it's powers ensured he did not return to Kano.
Till date, the SG did not make mention of any place where he would relocate to which is out of place considering those who were dethroned before him.
So where do you expect him to put his bed?
So if his character is now tarnished because he chose a smaller palace to reside within Kano in the town/village called Nassarawa then so be it. The case he took to the court is not even about the stool but his rights been taken away from him.

And the former Emir packed his stuff and was banished, and that's why many of us respect him now and are glad he's returned, unlike this one who does not want to shut up.

Regardless, I don't think a governor has the authority to order anyone's arrest, and the court seems to have agreed with me.

He does not go into exile based on self except he chooses to if where was provided for him does not fit him.
Maybe you need to go back in time and read. Sanusi 1 and Sanusi 2 were banished to a specific State, LGA, town, community. Its in the history books with some personal staffs.
Such was done in the case of Ado.

The law will be enforced.
Many are angry because the Ado who was dethroned is not keeping quiet and has taken the case to court.
So as it is now, let the court do their part and whatever justice that comes out of it will be enforced and I'm sure no one will want to stand against such judgement.

The foundation of every case is jurisdiction. If you run to a court that doesn't have jurisdiction on a matter ...what are you doing ? You are wasting valuable time ... we should learn to respect the law...The bayero man ran to federal High Court knowing fully well that only the state high court had juudiction on chieftaincy matters ...is nt that lawlessness? ..The state high court has made its ruling...You are not wiser than those that made that law . Allowing this to happen is lawlessness.
