I will suggest that Nigerians boycott some of these perishable foods. Let these greedy farmers suffer heavy loss.

It is not proper that federal government will fund these farmers to encourage self sufficiency but yet, these greedy bastards will still make these foods non affordable for common man
boycott to eat what
Beans is non perishable food

Solution is to go back to farm

The population is increasing, farmers are reducing due to insecurity, exportation of foods and many more

Blame the retailer or the middle men for the high cost and not the farmers.

Honestly, if beans weren't so expensive, the situation would've been a bit bearable for common people, because out of beans, one can make quite a lot of dishes.

Just make rice, beans, and garri affordable, and the people are good.
It shouldn't be that hard.

Insecurity is the major reason. This is planting season, we are expected to be surviving on last year's production but last year harvest was low due to insecurity. We are likely to experience same this year.
Way forward - subsistence farming.

I don't Tinubu at all but I think that farmers are the ones exploiting Nigerians. The southern part of the country is safe but yet, but Garri keeps hitting new highs weekly.

Do you know how much it costs to transport Garri from rural areas to towns? Do you know how many multiple taxes they pay on the road? All these factors have a multiplier effect. Besides that, economics also plays a role. Every other commodity has witnessed a sharp price increase, and the Garri seller also needs to make enough money from the Garri he sells to cater to his personal needs.

Judgementa1:
Beans are been exported out of the country to Niger.

Reason been that Nigeria beans is now cheaper because of the country currency devaluation.

That why the price of beans went up after border was reopen.

Pure lies.
What of Garri etc?

Your government are to blame.
Now ask yourself....where is the rice pyramid from APC?

Una fail economics for WAEC .. and dey look for who una go blame
1 liter of Diesel about 2k…..You go need 2-3m for diesel to move 1 truck load of beans from North to South.
You go need another 1.5-2m to pay drivers, agberos, police, Narto, Nurtw, state tax collector across mulltiple jurisdictions on federal highways built by FG.

Now factor in the cost of fertilizer, pesticides, and farm tools… all being determined by FX exchange rate.

You always too quick to blame peasants but not public officials
