You Don't Always Reap What You Sow (1190 Views)

Several years ago, my dad got me to buy an acre of land, but as at the time, I was not even interested in getting another piece. I already had too much dealings with some owners' families and I didn't want to go thru that stress. However, I bought the land after much earful from my dad. I had 4plots on one side and 2 plots on the other. The land was giving a L map. There was another man who owned the two plots at the back of my other two plots. The man was a farmer or so, he just planted corn and cassava on his 2 plots. I think it was 3 months after I did the agreement. I got a call requesting if I would be interested in the other 2plots at the end of the perimeter. After much pestering from my dad. I went to the place, saw the cassava and maize. I later heard the man who owned and cultivated the land died and his son wanted to travel out of the country, thus, the family had to sell the land. A plot as at that year was 300 Grand. So I paid 650 Grand for the land and for the plantation on it. Now here is my point. The man who sowed the cassava and the maize didn't reap from the land. The family reaped from it. I didn't know what to do with the cassava and the maize so I just handed the land over to someone until when I started developing it. That person has reaped from where he hasn't sown. I didn't vote Tinubu but I buy petrol at the same price. Thereby reaping from somebody else's cultivation. This life. We don't always reap what we sow. Sometimes, we reap what we haven't sown and what we even sowed, we may not reap. What are your politicians sowing, what are they reaping? The world is so intertwined that you can die from doing nothing wrong. You'd just be at your shop doing your own thing and one crazy driver would just run you over. You'd reap from somebody else's mistakes. You don't always reap what you sow and you can always reap from where and what you haven't sown. Please share any story that may corroborate this topic. Life is unpredictable. In 1 minute, you can get a call to come and collect free of charge what someone else has been fasting and praying, studying for or saving for for years. In the same vein, everything you've worked for all your life can vanish just like that. The concept of karma and reaping from what you sow is as true as it is false. Just depends on the circumstances. 2 Likes |

I pity those who (still) believe in so called karma. A lot of people did shi and got away with it, but go to prison and see many innocents being accused of crimes they didn't even commit...

YoungLionken: Some peoples karma come immediately, some comes along the way in divers and different stages of life depending on what and how they sow their seed either in wickedness or kindness, some comes late in life, and in some instances late karmas are more painful (Now that’s according to the physical) But there’s one that no one can escape and that’s the after life karma (Which is the spiritual), in my own opinion those people that didn’t receive karma on this earth at all whatsoever is because there’s was no possible way for the spirit of karma to dish to them their reapings according to what they sowed in this life… so put that in mind also 3 Likes 1 Share |

YoungLionken:I've come to understand that this world is not a dichotomy of good and evil , but of strong and weak. Think about it. In this current civilization, money gives you power. Tinubu is a powerful person. He removed the subsidy and he doesn't even feel shit about it. Several rich people also don't feel shit about it. But what about the poor innocent people? They are the ones shouldering the responsibility of the consequences. As I think about life, I realize that. The weak will reap the evil consequences(fruits) of the strong while the strong will reap the good and sweet consequences(fruits) of the weak. Karma on the other hand seems to me like the second greatest scam to keep weak people in check. Humans are so weak in such that when bad things happen to them, they are sad as to why those bad things don't happen to their neighbours instead. So , they try to redeem themselves of being unfortunate by hiding under the consolation that they are just getting paid for their actions. Since humans dread being unfortunate. By the way. Bad things happen to different people at random. You may live all your life trying to be good and end up being killed by someone who is trying to be bad. A good man died while the evil one lives on. Karma has run out of fuel. It doesn't visit people very often. 2 Likes |

traware: I grew up in the Holy Roman Catholic Faith. There was a particular woman in our parish then. This woman was so upright. She was so devoted to the extent that she had huge recognition and respect from the Bishop of the diocese. Everybody in the church had huge respect for this woman, as a matter of fact. There was something we called the Tabernacle in the Catholic Faith. That's where the Holy Sacrament and other items for the celebration of mass are kept. She had a spare key to it. Even while she was alive, she was considered a saint. One Sunday morning, usually our mass would start by 11am because our parish priest would have to go to another parish to celebrate mass before coming to his own parish(our own church). So, I heard this very woman I'm talking about was called that a member of the church was feeling sick and it was kind of serious. (Now, the Catholic has a tradition of ministering the holy sacrament unto sick people) Since the Reverend father was not around. The catechist was called and he also couldn't make it. This woman had to leave her house that Sunday morning in other to present the key to the Tabernacle. I heard she was on the bike at the front of her house when a crazy driver ran her and the rider over. Her skull cracked open and she died on the spot. That Sunday morning, about 80% of the church were in her house. Only 20% was at the mass. It was such a great tragedy come see tears like tap . That day, something in me died. The point of this whole story is, we've established the fact that, one can reap evil karma for doin nothing. But in some cases, once can reap evil consequences for doing a good thing. The woman died while trying to do a good thing. 4 Likes |

I agree with you that the world is so crazy and unpredictable. The girl I dated for 3 years, I ensured I built her to my taste as she's the person I wanted to marry. I encouraged her to learn skills outside what she's studying in school, I paid part of her catering and crafts training where she learnt how to make different chops and bakes. I also told her to learn a digital skill, of which she chose video editing and I paid for her training in full. Our relationship ended in the course of her completing the video editing training. Now she's with a new guy in less that 2 months of our breakup and is now utilising the video editing training I paid for her training in creating contents online and she's really doing good at it. All of my dreams of creating my own quality woman is now another guy's gain. He's basically gonna reap where he didn't invest 😂 This made me accept what they say, women think with their emotions and not their brain. 2 Likes |

Zzjny77:Since nobody has died and come back to tell us of what the after life is all about. Let's leave after life karma out of the topic. Let's talk about what we can see. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. Let's take Nigerian Politicians as case studies. What kind of Karma do you think has happened to them in a long time? Look at someone like Obasanjo and what he did to the Biafran Nation. When will his Karma catch up with him? |

One thing I am certain of and I’ve experienced is that, events are linked in life. Things do not just happen, they are made/caused to happen for a reason. I know this for sure. A man can be good in his doings and eventually experience bad fate in life, also the same applies to a bad person. In the same vein, both good and bad person may reap what they have sown. Never forget life is a mystery, do yourself good not to be disturbed by its depth. Good things happen to bad people, bad things happen to good people. Know this and have peace. Nobody has it all. Lastly, Karma is not asleep ooo, it will happen either now or your next life. Life is just too spiritual to say your deeds will be forgotten. |

Auxtan: Never build a woman such that she is attractive to people better or richer than you . Women go for the highest bidder. Except she is married a woman does not see herself with you for life. When you make the woman of your dream then you have made her the woman of many men dreams. She on her part has not made you the man of her dream so she will chase the man of her dream who would treat her better from where you stopped. If you meet a woman without hair. Dont help her make her hair. Except you married her. Always make sure you are better than her and be ready to lose except she married to you. Also, always ask her if she is ready to marry. If she says no that she wants to achieve somethings first. Automatically you are not her dream man and dont waste your funds. 5 Likes |

Summary : Karma is total rubbish. It's what the poor, weak and oppressed used to console themselves. masterminded the second world War, killing millions, yet are one of the richest economy in the world. No yeye karma is dealing with them. The whites that enslave Africans are doing fantastically well today. Blacks are still backward. Coming home, our politicians that looted our past, present and future are still balling till tomorrow, securing the future of their kids, grand kids and even their great great grand kids. Where they stop, their children take over. Yeye karma is yet to deal with them. People can get killed for their good. U can do good and be paid with evil. Wicked people that know their way are the ones u see living big life. The universe nor send anybody papa ![]() 2 Likes |

YoungLionken:Karma is very real. If you don't pay for your sins now, you'll pay it when you reincarnate. Many people today are paying for the sins they committed in their previous lives. It's a pity how the church is destroying our cultural heritage today. Many people are not doing Igba afa again. In my family back then, once a baby is born, the first thing my grandfather did was to check who was coming back. I advise everyone to always keep their hands clean, don't shed human blood and don't cause people pain. You see these our politicians today, most of them will reincarnate as barrow pushers, trust me and the funny thing is that they will come back with their full body structures. You see someone riding okada with pot belly and body carriage of rich man, yet he is poor and suffering. Karma is a bitch.
