But It took one stupid fool to destroy everything in one year

This is profound.

Here 👇 If the Naira devalued annually at less than the MPR then yes the MPR would give you value for your money as a foreign investor.

You can wake up tomorrow and the Naira has lost 20% of its value within 24hrs. So this scares investors that would have otherwise invested because of the increased MPR.

You know most of these guys started putting interest in business of recent. The guy has no clue on what he is talking about. I really don't know who is deceiving these people and its really dangerous cos those that went to university can easily be deceived as well

You shouldn't be asking this kind of question. Anybody can now get dollar at the official rate except the people who want to hoard.

If you need the dollar for you to hoard, go and buy from Aboki at 1450/$

Nobody can get that rate with their debit card. Stop all these lies abeg, how much are they paying you?? Lmao.

Good on you.

I am Yoruba and I don't believe in Yoruba Nation and I hate Tinubu's guts because he has been looting the Lagos Treasury for the past 25 years and he has started on the Nigerian Treasury now.

I grew up in a Nigeria that worked so I will NEVER give up on Nigeria.

I've never seen a country like Nigeria that loves the dollars more than the Americans that own it. We adore another country's currency as if our lives depended on it, and if not we all die!

I've been to other African countries and you don't see them speak much about the dollars. Who did this to us? cry
Because our lives actually depends on it. Those other countries you mentioned do not have unstable fx rates. When theirs get unstable, they also worry.

Listen, here it is in the next 2-3 months when Dangote refinery begins its fuel operation. The dollar will significantly crash from its 1560 range. right now. However, that will be in your favour, If only you have access to say a million dollars at hand currently. What you do is sell to sell that dollar to naira and hold your portfolio in naira, wait till the dollar crashes and buy back dollars. A N200 (1560 to 1360) crash in difference will amount to you making over 200 million naira which will get you 1 million, one hundered fifty thousand dollars.

Do you truly believe that the Dangote refinery will be the driving force behind a significant crash in the value of the dollar? Consider the fact that Dangote is importing crude oil from the USA, incurring substantial costs in dollars. Additionally, Dangote has significant financial obligations to foreign lenders, while the NNPC owes billions to foreign oil contractors, the FG has borrowed over 50 billion dollars that must be repaid, and there is a high demand for dollars for various purposes such as summer vacations, school fees, medical expenses, and international business transactions. Given these circumstances, it is unlikely that the dollar will plummet to 1350 naira. On the contrary, it is more likely to continue depreciating.

how 2 months ago all these circumstance you mentioned were still at place and the dollar still crashed to a $1 to N1000.
Ome thing about the forex market is that it is extremely volatile and responds to market uncertainties. Lets wait and see
