Obi has to give APC concerns because he is doing what Tinubu was doing 2015-19 when Buhari was there. Tinubu doesn't have time for that now as he is already on seat. With so much enemies he has gathered during the years, I won't be surprised if all his enemies are ready to give him a taste of his own medicine during Jonathan's time. It was easier to ignore Buhari than Tinubu. It is clear to see that APC has no plan and just the way Jonathan was in the helm of affairs when Nigerians were frustrated with PDP, the same thing could happen with Tinubu at APC.

Obi declared that he has his eyes set on the next elections and if you study Nigerian politics, anyone that prepares this early will be a serious contender in the elections. Most political players don't declare their intention until 1 year to the polls. This Obi guy is actively wetting the ground.

Buhari had his base and cult following. ACN, C, nPDP and ANPP political alliance helped him.

Tinubu had his base and political alliances. Even though he lost his Lagos base, the political alliance with the North and Rivers was still able to help him.

Kwankaso had the Kano base that won him Kano.

Atiku had the PDP base because it had always been a political party whether he was the popular candidate or not.

Obi had a base, the shortest we have ever seen towards an election and still came third. He also has a strong following. It is something to worry about because along the line, he will become stronger. Going by the election result, this President did not win by majority vote and adding PDP + LP votes could easily have taken him out.
This is why the APC is not relenting on attacking Obi's personality and demarketing him. It is dangerous to have a serious alternative and they would prefer to have a weak opposition than one people naturally ire. If you know how much politicians spend on PR, Online bots, TV, social media,campaign people and crowds that can make them look popular, you will understand that Obi remains a big threat no matter what is written here.

They can abuse him and write about him, it doesn't change anything. They are only doing their online job. Plenty was written about Buhari and the baboon blood or fanatic story,he still won. Plenty was written about Tinubu, his tax company, certificates and he still won. So if they write about Obi and any negative thing, it doesn't change anything about political analysis. Popularity is a political currency and it is hard to get it when you are nowhere near government or have no political office, Obi is enjoying that at a highly subsidized price. FREE
