Sorry

What is an investment?

If as a small business, I have access to $10k credit card that I can spend easily abroad and repay back within some certain time frame or at least pay the monthly minimum interest, is that not an investment?

The money AMEX is bringing to the Nigerian market to service that, is that not investment?

I know you have never used a credit card before, so you won’t understand. It’s only poor people that sees access to credit as a disadvantage.

The major reason why most developed countries flourish is access to capital that their citizens have.

If people have access to capital with low APR, everyone can get a credit card or business loan, then use it for their business, after which they gain profit and then pay back bit by bit. That is the only legit way to give the son of a nobody access to compete.

Imagine a guy that just finished NYSC have quick access to like $5k to start a business of his choice, isn’t that better than him running around to beg people before he can find a 1milli worth business?

My reply is not for you because you can’t understand. My reply is just for other Nairalanders.

Illiteracy is the problem here.

Normally all credit cards come with other perks and that’s usually travels, hotels, and some other form of cash back.

Whether it’s AMEX, Discover, Wells Fargo, Chase, or any card.

It dosen’t necessarily mean you can’t use it for other means. This is one of the statement in the post.

Cards will be able to be used at American Express accepting merchants across Nigeria and around the world.

“With the O3 Capital American Express cards, consumers and businesses in Nigeria will have even more payment choice. American Express is excited to continue to strengthen its presence in Nigeria and expand its reach across Africa. Did they say you can’t spend the dollar card for Nigeria businesses?

So all the EFCC and CBN razzmatazz with Dollar holdlers is now exercise in futility?

So we can start using dollar to pay for bills in Nigeria?

Do you see how confuse you sound?

So we should keep our dollars then? Since Amex is coming to change our currency to dollar right?
