She should her healthcare provider for the next steps forward, since she's a week overdue.
Also, she can try exercises and foods that are helpful in stimulating labour; dates, pineapple
For me, BD has always been a good trigger at the right time, but some women can't tolerate it
What is bd pls

Good evening mommas.
Please help.
Indigestion won’t let me be great.
That’s the only problem I have but it’s like the whole weight of the world.
I only eat lunch else I would puke the next day when I brush n be restless all night.
Then I have GERD
It’s milder when I am not preg but from the day I take in, the GERD is too much.
Food stuck in my throat.
I have to deworm or depend on antacids which would never work
I am suffering
Any pointers please
Even water taken in the evening is vomited violently the next day
It’s been 12 weeks of being uncomfortable.

Good afternoon all. I am a first time dad. I am a bit confused on which hospital to my wife for antenatal.
There is Lagos Island Maternity Hospital which is a specialised hospital for pregnancy related issues, it is not too far but it will take about 15 to 20 minutes to get there, will need to enter keke and then a bus or order uber at about 3 - 4k.
The other option is the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta, it is less than 5 minutes away from my house, getting there will cost just about 100 to 200 naira with a keke or less than 1500 with uber.
Which would you advise us to with? The Federal Medical Centre or the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital?
The distance is not the major issue sha, although, I am also taking it into . My main consideration is getting the place to get the best possible service and a place that offers prompt, stress-free services, where my wife and our baby will be safe, and our minds can be at peace.
Your responses will be greatly appreciated, if possible, with your experiences

Have you tried Omeprazole for the GERD? It could help reduce stomach acid.
The thing with some pregnancy issues is that you just have to manage them.

Could anyone have even a single advice on the below?
Splasshhh:
Sabi mamas
Happy new year.
I am back at your desk o.
So, I have a history of recurrent miscarriages and had suffered a still birth in 2020.
God has successfully aided me to have a beautiful daughter in January, 2022, blessedly 2yr + now.
A year after I had her, I still had another miscarriage, this was in February, 2023. My concern now is, it has been over a year and I have not conceived again, medically termed barrenness.
I am not sure how to or what exactly to do.
My cycles are still very regular, and yet...
So I reached out to a general surgeon friend to advice me. I was hoping a hormonal profile test will be suggested but, he opined that since my periods are very regular, I should rather opt for HSG test and seminalysis for hubby.
Funny thing is, I have always read about the HSG test here by sabi mamas but on inquiry here in KUBWA, Abuja I realized it is as costly as 40k - HSG alone o 🤣
Walahi, e choke.
What do you all think?

You need a specialist to attend to you. Go and see a gynaecologist and let her recommend the tests you should do and treatment plan.
Positive result to you soon.

For me, I'd prefer Island maternity.
I have been to Mother and Child, Festac. And I met a number of people who rated Island maternity well.
All the best sir.
I don't know if any government hospital is stress-free.

Hello experienced people in the house. i already created a thread for this, but i didnt know there was a thread like this one.
I got married two years ago and since then, child birth has been a bit difficult.
I'm in my late twenties and in the first half of last year, I took in and later miscarried, I started noticing spots of blood and when I went to hospital, the doctor prescribed duphaston, eventually I miscarried and doctor used mispprostol to evacuate. Two months later, I took in again and after 7 weeks, I went for an ultrasound the result summarily was "no fetal pole or yolk sac" and was told to return in 2 weeks, result was same. After 10 weeks, doctor advised me to evacuate as it wasnt progressing. The diagnosis was blighted ovum. I was advised to wait for 3-4months before taking in again which I did.
These are senior consultants and even a prof, so I wholly trust their expertise.
Last month, I had sex while ovulating and I genuinely thought I would conceive. I had all the symptoms. But my period still came. It's becoming really unsettling.
I've seen the doctors with my husband and even asked them if he has to do any test. But they said no need as I'm actually taking in that it would have been concerning if I wasnt getting pregnant. I wondered if it was a problem from him and they said no. They also said i shouldnt bother that miscarriages is the body's way of expelling abnormal fetuses. I've had to do a range of tests including progesterone and other infection tests and they all came out well. Doctors said everything is fine. I had an abdominal ultrasound done, and the radiologist said I'm completely fine.
But I'm very worried. My husband have been a perfect man, but I know he is worried deep down, even though he womt show it.
Please does anyone have this experience or idea of how to go about this? The consultant prescribed vasopressin which i stopped at the advised time while I continued folic acid.
My mom gave me some leaves to boil and drink that it will help.
I really need help.

Mama, I may not have exactly the same experience as you have, but trust me, i have had my own fair share.
It's easier said than done, but nothing good comes out of worry. It will happen at the perfect time. Eat well, dont apportion blames to either yourself or your husband and trust God. Have faith in your doctors as well.
I just welcome my own rainbow baby yesterday. God will come through for you.

Like someone said we all have a story to tell.
They are suppose to conduct test for your husband.
During our time the consultant while teaching the students with him said he would never make such mistakes again that while investigating the wife, investigate the husband too.
Today to the glory of God
We are parents to two lovely children

Be still and know that He is God. You will still laugh over everything happening now.
Unfortunately things like this might be normal in some cases. But to be on the safe side;
Once u take in,use vasoprin, progesterone insert(not tablet o),plus folic acid. I would have said to add clexane but it is usually stered by a medical personnel. But those other 3 can be bought by yourself.
I know it is difficult to say but try and relax. Infact forget that you have a period. You will be surprised.
Wishing you all the best mama.E-hugs!
