I want to know because streetinvestor2 was very serious and optimistic about Dangote sugar's Q1.

Could it be the reason why I never hear from oga and madam today?

They did very very well. 100% increase in PAT
Eps from 2.06 to 4.35. Thats great.

I have stopped taking any statements that are based on hopeville seriously; it is the new age of evidence-based reasoning.

It is a 20 naira stock abi, and we have people buying it in the millions. 100,000 units are even uncountable.

Maybe na money miss road, or corrupt politicians abi? Lol, you may not see it at 40 by nextweek sef, they way some people are swallowing it.

Some insiders saw this result since yesterday and it looks more like it has been factored into the share price already.......quite a large volume was picked up today again...
Not expecting much more deviation from again......all things being equal.
From another info, the likelyhood that the merger talk will resume is there with the new SEC team as the first team has been sacked.
We see how things goes as time goes on....
I'm not an advocate of selling at loss except for personal reasons.....and, if the person picked much more lower.
It's well with us during this trying period.

At today's Dangote Sugar AGM Alhaji stated that the reason for the discontinuation of the merger is because SEC did not approve because Dangote rice is yet to commence operations. Dangote Rice is till building rice mills across the country and some are expected to be ready later in the year

When Dangote Rice commences operations the merger talks will resume.

My own take is that later in the year or early next year Dangote Sugar and NASCON may do a first step merger pending when Dangote Rice becomes operational. Alternatively, they may wait for Dangote rice to get a few years of operations under its belt and have financial statements as required. This will help DIL corner a proportion of Dangote Foods shares they had earlier planned for.

It will be Ill advised to go again this year and face another rejection. Not good for Alhaji's image.

No Biggy. Everybody gets into such situation once in a while if they are in the market.

Most people have recovered their monies many folds from that disastrous era. It's the way of the market buddy.

Profit after tax from 1.8billion to 35.9billion. Thats more like it.

FCMB - 50kobo dividend proposed. I see FCMB overtaking Fidelity in price even though Fidelity released a lovely 1st Qtr result.

You should know me by now.i don't buy stocks to trade. Most of my stock has big margin of safety. How he wan slaughter me when my BE is #2 plus.Ask mcy when it got to #18 .I ask her opinion if I should sell.My sugar BE is #24.

On Another Note:
I just watched the video of the sugar Agm on youtube. And i think patience is the key. Dangote says he disagrees with SEC on the Rice issue. It appears SEC wants the Mills to start production before it can approve . He also said the jigawa mill will soon be commissioned any time from now and that they will represent their documents to SEC. He said the jigawa mill is 5time the lagos mill and they should produce up to 30% of national processing capacity.
So it appears Rice would be part of the second presentation to SEC.
Dangote did not spend much time on it.

Looks like all these pump & dump stocks are going back to there pre=pump prices. All the results, no one wey dey go use manage the other.

** They are still better than IB though.
