Israel allowed five ballistic missiles to land on their soil to justify their impending attack on Iran, that was the plan. If you look at how their defence system works you will know that it priorities which incoming missile to take out base on where the projectiles are going to land, this means if the projectile is going to land on hight populated areas it takes care of it first and in the event it going to land on not so important area the iron dome may ignore it and face a more important treat.

Israel had already issued a warning that if Iran ever attack thier soil directly they will do same in equal measures. So I don't think Israel that have been praying for this to happen will allow it to slide.
