The governments at Federal and State levels can indeed recover all lands that have already been built upon with even genuine C-of-Os for the public good (i.e., to construct and/or expand road networks, for the gentrification of an area, and more).

The governments ONLY has to pay appropriate compensations to those who have genuine C-of-Os. The uneducated rants by some bigoted posters right from page 1 of this thread claiming the planned demolition is because the dude is Ibo are CLEARLY irresponsible.

As can be seen in online videos, many houses with genuine C-of-Os and even shacks have already been demolished in the area to make way for the Lagos to Calabar Coastal highway construction. Period.
