A banker told me the Central Bank of Nigeria maintains a log where the names of Nigerians exempted from accessing loans from banks or recieving grants from the government are recorded. It doesn't matter whether you have defaulted in repayments of any loan or grants before or not, the viability of your proposed venture doesn't matter either. someone will just insert your details in that and you will be automatically flagged as ineligible to receive any loan from any bank in the Country or any grant from the government no matter how many times you apply or from how many banks you apply from. The level of wickedness orchestrated in this country is satanic 4 Likes 1 Share |

While there's no evidence backing your claim, the fact that there's little to no transparency in the system makes it worthy of investigation. Before your name is flagged ineligible, there should be a petition or report to that effect, and you should be able to access that information as well so you know what you did wrong. That's what transparency is about. 2 Likes |

I don't agree with u and as ex banker, I have never heard my cousin who retired a deputy director in CBN uttered such a thing before. This can apply to chronic debtors based on my experience in the banking sector. shortgun: 1 Like 1 Share |

RenaissanceGuy: Indeed. What's the criteria for being able/allowed to report and blacklist others? Affiliation with a CBN staff? Ethnicity? Miyetti Allah hip? Illuminati affiliation? Pals of Sunday Igboho? Staff of Senators? Mistresses of politicians? What exactly? Some dont think things through before rushing to post. 2 Likes |

shortgun: Which CBN? Emefiele CBN? Cardoso CBN? Stop digging a bigger hole for yourself. Poweful politicians using CBN to gain pecuniary advantages is normal. It is called -connection' and has alwas been a part of Nigeria. To suggest CBN has a master ' vendetta list' of some Nigerians, reported by others, who can never get credit anywhere in our nation is preposterous. 2 Likes |

@OP they will attack you without providing any serious counter-argument. I was in Nigeria a few years ago and one of my kids got sick, and had to be taken to a " hospital". Mehn ... if not for the grace of God my child would have died there. Every nurse and doctors there were so unprofessional and callous and nobody cared. It was all blase. NOBODY CARED. One child died there while these buffoons that pretended to be healthcare professionals behaved as if nothing was urgent or serious. In civilized countries, each healthcare professional works with serious fear because the hospital would be sued out of existence for poor work that lead to deaths. Not in Nigeria. I promised myself that I would pick a scapegoat one of these days and sue them to oblivion even if for the heck of it. Just the thought of these people not sleeping well due to the legal wahalla they would be fighting would be enough satisfaction for me. I just dey wait for my perfect scapegoat. Nigeria is a very very very wicked country, but the people helped to crate such satanically wicked society. The people can still change it. But to change it, the people need to embrace light and shun darkness. Nigeria is the only county I know where darkness is the norm. All other countries fight darkness even if they don't succeed totally. They at least try. So, OP, I don't know whether your allegation is true, but it feels true, because far worse things happen in Nigeria. 1 Like |

WizardOfNG: Same questions I asked but they are yet to provide any answer. Nobody knows the criteria they use in making one eligible or ineligible, its shrouded in secrecy or probably at someone's discretion. |
shortgun(m): 9:20am On Apr 06, 2024 |
WizardOfNG:The functions of the CBN remains the same irrespective of who heads it. I am staking 100k if you can tell me the non-discriminatory criteria used by the CBN to determine ineligibility |

shortgun: And you simply believe this hook, line and sinker? Have you bother to cross-check this information? Do CBN give individuals loans or dictate to Banks who to loan their monies or not? How many names are they going to write? Can't they get the loans through another companies? Why is it impossible to think independently by yourself instead of outsourcing it to this person who told you this LAMBA? 1 Like |

shortgun: If you have done anything close to investigations and have lived in Nigeria for more than 10 years, then you will know that this is FALSE. Even chronic loan defaulters (that deserved to be banned) would bribe their ways and obtain more loans. 1 Like |

oyatz:1.If you read through this thread you will find my previous comments where I mentioned reaching out to the CBN for clarification on this issue personally, I never received a response from them.. 2.Unfortunately, in Nigeria, the CBN holds authority over banks' loan approvals. Also, it directly influences the allocation of Federal government grants....it decides who is eligible and who is not. 3.Are you implying that it's impossible for CBN to have in it's possession a database containing the names of all bank holders in the country? |
