Gospel minister, Nathaniel Bassey, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate and prosecute four persons who he accused of criminal defamation and cyberstalking.

The singer submitted the petition to the IGP on April 1, 2024, through his lawyers, Peter Abraham, Uche Matthew, Gbenga Agunloye, and Anthony Abia.

Last week, four social media s alleged that Bassey fathered the son of fellow popular gospel singer, an allegation that went viral on X.

The lawyers, therefore, urged the police authorities to urgently treat the petition against the four social media s, identified in the petition as Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, Terrence Ekot and Dj Spoiltkid.

“Our client is a gospel music minister whose songs and ministrations have impacted the lives of so many from different walks of life across the globe,” the petition partly read.

Nigerians were quiet when this guy said this o, but just watch how they will start attacking Nathaniel Bassey when the law begins to take it's course.

Seriously, people need to learn to take responsibility for their actions in this country. Funny thing is this man may have never conducted a DNA on any of his own kids because he's under the illusion that they share some resemblance with him. Until something happens and the joke will be on him. So why not live and let's all live.

The people behind the defamation will soon start playing the victim. The unfortunate thing is that they will attract public sympathy from confused Nigerians.

If I were Nathaniel Bassey and I know from the depth of my heart my hands are clean over the matter, I will laugh over the matter and advice the fellow to go for a DNA test.

I beleive this recent controversies surrounding paternity fraud and DNA bail out will do more harm than good to the society at large.

All these things we read on the internet on the current paternity fraud discovery is not only scary but disturbing.
