Dikegodspower: Lol. When you see other easterners blasting Ebonyi state, this is the reason. We want them to up their game. Another reason why Ebonyi is not in the top 10 may also be due to it's much lower population. Ebonyi is currently coming up fast, just watch out for that state in the coming years. 23 Likes 3 Shares |

Considering the effect of the civil war, Igbos have done well. The culture is enterprising and pragmatic.

Emmanuel900:They will be there, but fewer intake. Iasuth for instance only took in 100 students. Learnt they are currently making plans to increase capacity, but the problem is lack of lecturers as most have japa. |

UHLmoving:lol Continue to deceive yourself. There has never been anytime Igbos caught up with Yoruba in education and free education was introduced before 1962. Name some of your doctors and lawyers or technocrats (they are unknown except for few who didn't drop out to do petty trading in the SW) if Yorubas ones known, important and active will not sur them. SW has 3 times the number of professors the SE has. This is the Nigeria University Commission website's link... https://www.nuc.edu.ng/ 8 Likes 3 Shares |

According to the NUC website which can be accessed seamlessly by any interested researcher, there is now a shift and a takeover by the Northerners as the Igbos are pushed off the sidewalk of Professorship into the 3rd position in the rank of who has the higher number of Professors between the two educational gladiators. SW still continues to be the stallion and champion of Education in Nigeria as the number of their Professors is almost triple that of the Igbos according to the Directory of full Professors in Nigerian Universities. Kudos to the gallant Igbos just as the Northerners are also heralded into the second position of Professorial hierarchy in Nigeria. Welcome.. AcuraZDX: Which propaganda? we still lead in Education Education in Nigeria doesn't start in the past three years. decades of South west leads can not be erase because we didn't lead in one or two years. If South west is always leading in something like this, that's abnormal. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Zico5: Unfortunately that is not what the measurement or count is based on... I understand your pain, bitterness and frustration that south east is leading... These number are measured based on students with South State of origin itted to all medical schools across Nigeria i.e if you are from Imo state in University of Sokoto school of medicine you will be counted to Imo state even if you haven't schooled or visited imo before.... Simple Google would've saved this embarrassment 26 Likes 3 Shares |
