Just be patient,as far as the immigration lawyer is in good standing in Canada ( u can check that out on IRCC website) thfn u don't have a problem, they will you if there is any changes on ur application, am actually waiting like you too

I was a bit skeptical about applying because our marriage was barely three months before my spouse travelled.

I ditched the fear, applied and Got approved.

I'll share my timeline so couples in the same situation(recently married folks who got married after visa approval) can have something to work with for their application.

Each individual's story is unique and I believe IRCC treats it as such

Once it gets to VFS, they will be sending you updates via email. Stamping of ports is a bit faster now. So you will get it back within a week.

I got a denial today

Reason :

You do not qualify under the IMP as you provided insufficient information to demonstrate
that your spouse is a full-time student in a qualifying program at a DLI in Canada. Refused under
R205(c)(ii)

Please for those that experienced this and reapplied, how did you go about it. My wife is enrolled in a 2-year post graduate diploma program and she is in her second year, she is also entitled to a 3-year PGWP. The shocking thing is that the SOWP was done together with a study visa extension which was approved, yet the SOWP was denied

Send a reconsideration request, add your spouse's current transcripts and appeal to their emotions as well.

Yes...i sent all the requested documents to the immigration consultant mone was a consultant not a lawyer.

Did you submit your port at the vfs office? Abuja or Lagos?
Visa stamps doesn’t take such time anymore.
