Unfortunately, the price has gone so high. On my way one of those day from Ughelli to Port Harcourt, I bought one and was very angry because of the price and the worst of it all was that egg the inside was like pigeon's egg that it's white has been removed. I can't even the exact price again but I can ed that I wasn't happy about the price.

The last time I bought it, it was 250 so I stopped because it wasn't making any good financial sense to me. I then decided to make mine at home but ended up wasting it cos after having one large size, I was fed up. I kept the remaining five but couldn't resist the temptation of the eggs. That was how I removed and ate all the eggs leaving the dough which I later threw away because I was tired. It was very delicious and milky o but I don't know why anything I prepare myself dey quick tire me.

See how much it cost me to make five Large egg rolls.

Half derica Flour -. 400
Sachet powder milk 100
One milk cup of sugar. 300. ( Didn't use all)
Powder Nut meg. 100
Veg oil. Half bottle 600
5 small sized eggs. 650
I had baking powder at home.

Making it a total of 2150 naira that I spent but could only eat one dough because I made them very large; not intentional though because the balls were small when I rolled them only for it to get to the fire and start rising beyond control .

The thing pained me because it was too sweet but my mouth no gree accept am again. For now if I see egg rolls on the road I get full immediately. So that craving is gone for good .

I'm curious here... Did you take the pictures of the five large egg rolls with your camera phone? If you did, I would like you to attach it here for us to have a sense of the size.

I drove past a popular spot for all those egg rolls and stuff in utako/ jabi today and I did not see the usual crowd surrounding the seller.I guess it's price wahala.


The only thing paining me today is that I bought red apples for 500 each.Since this mad inflation started it's this one for apple that pained me.

The size of small coconuts... Okay I kinda get the picture in my mind's eye. It definitely was big in size and I see why you got tired of eating the rest of the egg rolls (sans the hard-boiled eggs inside).

When you say the milk and nutmeg "took the taste to another level" (are you saying it made the egg rolls to taste good or not?).

Incidentally your post inspired me to watch the YouTube recipe for making egg rolls (dumplings) for the first time ever, and it was easy peazy to make. I wonder if you also make Scotch eggs... Do you?

I like Scotch eggs too, the recipes of both egg rolls and Scotch eggs are different with meat sausage, breadcrumbs, and hard-boiled eggs being the top three major components of Scotch eggs. Dayum... the taste is pure heaven!

When I have the time I'll see if I can make the egg rolls myself for the first time ever by making the dough slices to be smaller so the egg rolls don't grow big like "coconuts." That's fine. Women are known for the ability to multitask more than us men. It's clear you have a deep ion for ing on knowledge to people and children. Others would have gravitated towards the baking business because of the opportunity to become millionaires from several parties and events.

But, in real world experiences like this, it's wise of you to have dropped one for the other. I wish you the best in either of the two endeavors you might wish to pursue further down the road.
