Dbegining: Why not just go abroad and be paying 700k per session to study nursing, graduate and start working so u can avoid Nigeria's verification since nursing school is too expensive here? 3 Likes |

wethebest: If you're talking from the point of view that it is cheaper to study here and so, they owe the government their lives then, you're stupid. What makes studying abroad expensive If not the exchange rate? Do you think it is expensive for the citizens of those countries? 6 Likes |

wethebest: You're a very big fool. Who told you high rate of school fees is what made them not have enough nurses? Just To show that you're a illiterate. Have you considered population? The rate of medical care need? If its expensive then who told you they wouldn't just reduce the fees rather than give immigrants jobs meant for their citizens. And if their citizens can't afford it, is it nigerians with a very poor currency value that will able to pay for it? Foolish boy! Parents will just be giving phones to unripe adolescents these days. 5 Likes |

wethebest:are you sane at all, do you have a qualified nurse in your family? I don't you know how expensive it is to study nursing in Nigeria, it is cheaper to study medicine other than nursing, go and find out, I'm sure you don't have any qualified nurse in your family except quacks tagged auxiliaries, medical doctors still enjoyed residency training fully sponsored by government to become consultants in their chosen specialty, none is enjoyed by nurses, they trained themselves by themselves, what right have to stop them from moving to where they're well remunerated, valued and appreciated? I repeat go and make your findings on the cost of becoming a qualified nurse in Nigeria, then you will understand government has no right from stopping them from moving away from country with meagre salary... 7 Likes |

Dbegining: Just see how u foolishly contradict urself without making a single sense 🤣🤣🤣🤣. If u are not very foolish, what is UK population compared to Nigeria's? So Nigeria can produce large numbers of nurses yearly bt almighty UK citizens can't graduate in larges numbers as nurses yet u ungrateful he goat wants to get cheap nursing certificate without adding value to the country that gave u the certificate just for two years b4 going abroad to start washing d whites asshole till u die. 2 Likes |

wethebest: Foolish boy, I addressed three things; Population Rate of medical care need The fact that they would rather reduce the price of studying nursing than giving jobs to outsiders. But, as the foolish boy that you are, you could only see population. Now, do you think it's only UK that nurses travel to? What happened to Canada, Switzerland, US ? Do you know what their combined need of nurses are and do you know that Nigerian nurses are wild spread there? Now d you also know the population of their elderly ones and children and that's why they need a high rate of medical care? Foolish SS2 boy that is a child to one of the idiots that made this policy! Don't poke your nose in a matter meant for adults. Shut up! And stop using laughing emojis to cover your pain. It's too childish. 3 Likes |

wethebest: Sometime I do not want to comment but when I see this type of misconception, I feel obligated to educate. Let me educate you a little. First, getting nursing education (as RN -ADN) from a community college is almost free. Secondly, there is student loan and government grants for first time undergraduate. Lastly, most people work and still go to nursing school, so they can actually afford to pay their fees out of pocket. Not to even mention those sponsored by their parents and on the numerous scholarships. Did you know that most employers have fees reimbursement programs for nurses who work for them? Agreed, there is shortage but it is not because of cost of attending nursing school. The shortage is mostly because baby boomers are retiring and life expectancy in the western countries has increase. People are living longer, with age comes the complexity of care . Therefore, there is increased demand for nurses to take care of these population. Unlike in Nigeria where nurses only work at the hospitals, in the US nurse could work at so many settings including private homes, rehabs, nursing homes, hospitals, clinics. telemed and travels. In some of these places it is one nurse to one patient, especially the homecare. And these are just direct care areas. Others areas like istration, schools and public health are also available for nurses to work. So, the demand for nurses is high. As an example, if there are 1000 people needing care round the clock at home, 2000 nurses would be needed to cover the day and night. Almost all states have staffing regulations. That is nurse to patient ratio, and facility accreditation is partly based on that. Insurance companies want to see adequate staffing as well, to reduce the risk of liability. But ultimately, patient care and optimal outcome is achieved with the right nurse/ patient ratio. 2 Likes |

123yes: are you ok? is there any country in the world that does not regulate any sector they feel is threatened by mass exodus ? take UAE for example - why do you think when they give you a residence visa- they have your Boss hold on your port after you sign a contract to work for the number of years on your residence and IF you decide to leave before the agreed time, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will cancel that visa ? In some countries when you arrive and you want to file for residency they require you must work in that field for at least 5 to 10 years with a particular sponsor or employer to get the residence - Take a look at our own Mikel Obi and Samuel Etoo who had to play Football in England and Spain (uninterrupted) for 10 SOLID years to get British and Spanish citizenship despite being millionaires and high earners - they could not go to other clubs in Europe that probably could have payed higher wages to them because they wanted citizenship so the rule is is they must remain in the UK and SPAIN for 10 years to get the citizenship -- It is the law, they obeyed it without complain! EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD - THERE IS ONE FORM OF REGUALTION OR THE OTHER TO PROTECT THE SYSTEM FROM COLLAPSE except NIGERIA - and we wonder why things do not working in Nigeria where everyone is- or attempting to be law unto themselves -- Just like Dangote is already a monopoly and killing other potential competition. Let me ask - why are they all protesting ? so these ones wanted to leave tomorrow morning abi? Very good -God don catch them THEY ARE GOING NOWHERE - very selfish and useless people --- In America there are nurse volunteers are give up their weekend earnings to care for the poor and elderly and weak in the society who have very little or insufficient incomes - IT IS CALLED GIVING BACK --They do not get a dime for it and these are American citizens who are nurses --- what can Nigerian nurses ever do for Nigeria ---- wetin be 2 years sef? These people are so irritating --- opening their wide gutter they call mouth to sing ANOTHER CHALLENGE OOOO - what fv ck ing challenge are they talking about ?? LOOK AT CUBA - VERY CLOSE TO AMERICA - yet their Doctors AND Nurses dare not go to the US Embassy to apply for visa --- they cant even try it and CUBA has one of the best health care system in the world, EVEN AS A POOR SOCIALIST COUNTRY, the medical professionals put their experience and capacity in it and they created a wonder of the world health care system that even Americans envy - SO CUBANS are not humans? Cuban Nurses and Doctors dont know japa exist? FYI they are poorer than NIGERIA and NIGERIANS what of me wey do NYSC for one year - ? under very harsh conditions in a place so remote and life so uninteresting ? did that stop me from being who I am today -? useless marafakas ------ everyone wants Nigeria to be like heaven BUT in our own small little ways we cant sacrifice anything for this country -- japa key ona there ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

These rules will discourage the study of nursing and midwifery in Nigeria. These conditions will encourage slavery in the employment of nurses and midwives. |

Dbegining: U uncircumcised he goat. I asked u again. These countries in need of Nigeria nurses, are their children crippled not be trained as nurses, why must they need u as their slave? The slavery that made ur parents poor and irrelevant today no dey tire u? |
Dbegining: 8:45pm On Feb 12, 2024 |
wethebest: Unlike your foolish parents that refused to do the world some good and use you as mensuration, Not everyone over there have the mindset than " you just be a doctor or nurse or lawyer to make it in life" That's why they are doing well in Al areas. Well spread focus on all career paths. But a fool like you can't understand that. Is is that they don't have lawyers or that they are overburdened by the load of medical need and can't force their citizens into a particular path. Since you don't understand Democratic settings because of the foolish way of life your stupid wretched mum and dad exposed you to, you can't know what that means. And nurses over there are not slaves but rather are valued for who they truly are not paid 30k like slaves in their home country. Better go and read your book. And you sef you can become a nurse and serve your country for 50 years collecting 30k as salary. Mumu 1 Like |

wethebest: You know the ones that come to nairaland to claim "made"? The poorest of the poorest. Throwing tantrums won't help you. And I've told you before, using laughing emojis just shows how pained you are. Hope you've seen now that you have no point in the rubbish you said first? "Earning in foreign currency " so you know earning in foreign currency is a good thing but nurses shouldn't. Your type deserve to be tied to a horse and dragged from Lagos to sokoto till your bones peel off. See what the illiterate child reduced nursing to. Packing shit. I regret having any form of conversation with you. Face to face, you'll not even be qualified to stand where I stand. Foolish child. |

sonnie10:That’s not how it work. The foreign council is asking them to that you are whom you claim are eg if you are ed in your home country to avoid fake certificates, any malpractice, conviction etc. The NMCN here in Nigeria isters those exams so they have your records before issuing of pin. Furthermore, you are responsible for submitting your transcript via your school at a stage in your registration and it has nothing to do with NMCN. The verification process is more like attestation. Get your facts right! |

wethebest: Very stupid and illogical response. You think western countries are like your country that doesn't have a fully functional bursary, educational loan or grant system? Have you ever heard the term "home student fees" before? You think they do one doctor to 250 patients per day or one nurse to 300 patients the way Nigeria does? Must all their citizens become nurses? |
aestake: 1:30am On Feb 13, 2024 |
wethebest:But is Nigeria treating the nurses well? You can't treat sb well and you are telling them they will be slaves elsewhere. They are already slaves in Nigeria. |

Anugoson: You do not know the extent of information required of the board. Everyone who practices for 2 years or more is likely to have additional documents with the board other than basic entry level initial licensing requirements. Continuing education credit, additional certifications etc which are not domicile with that individual’s educational institution but the board. During verification, total disclosure is expected. All these documents must be gathered and forwarded to the foreign body. It’s not just attestation as you would assume. It takes a lot of man hours to put all these formation together. And someone has to pay for this additional work load. Believe me, if before now they were process about 10 monthly, the Japa effect has made that figure times 100. Let’s be fair, they do not have unlimited resources to carter for this increase. |

This procedure has always been the normal guideline with the Nigeria medical council Doctor is not awarded full certificate of registration, 2 years post qualification. Doctors don't usually have their full certificate until after internship and NYSC. The new guideline is important for the Nursing programs to maintain their credibility and accreditation, especially under the new JAPA dispensation. It is imperative for the New nursing graduates to have up to date post graduation experience prior to been awarded full certificate. HOWEVER, QUALIFING FOR YOUR PROFFESIONAL LICENCE HAS ZERO BEARING TO WHEREEVER OR WHENEVER YOU WANT TO TRAVEL. |

Asking someone to work for two years before leaving the country can only be if and only if you sponsored his/her education. Otherwise, you do not have the right. That's an abuse of the the person's right.
