There was a commotion on Monday afternoon at Ire Akari Estate Area of Soka, Ibadan, Oyo State as a furniture shop was gutted by fire.

The fire outbreak reportedly started around 3 pm.

Findings by our correspondent revealed that the fire emanated from a furniture shop. Efforts are ongoing by of the community to prevent the spread of the fire. As of press time, the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Also, an X , @rosheethat, posted a video of the fire while calling for help.

She posted, “Ire Akari Soka right now. Anybody that can help us.”

Reminds me of what happened in my neighborhood 30 minutes to the new year.

This one's better cos it happened in daylight and people can quickly see it and help or get shelter.

The fire can still spread to other houses
