Ahh if 6 weeks is not enough for a port to be ready which backlogs did they now clear besides I've seen people pick up in 3 weeks in same location I did my own in a different location and I got it in 2weeks.

Is the form not part of the requirements anymore?

I tried the new automated port application on the immigration website and it was easy and fast.

I also used the NPC website to apply for my birth certificate attestation, and I got it almost immediately.

Kudos to the officials at Festac port Office. Smooth process aside the crowd and going back and forth waiting room sitting and waiting till you get called for the next stage.

DIY Renewal though. If you are not in a hurry for your port, i will advise you go the DIY route.
Captured today. Hoping that the issuance/production stage will be smooth and wont take ages.

They didn't even ask or should i say letter to the port controller to renew port isn't included on the list.

No, you cannot apply for a renewal at this stage. In order for Nigeria Immigration Service to process your request for port renewal, your port must have six months validity.

and it’s takes 4-5 months to process which country be this if any private profit driving company act like this they would be out of business in bit

It's simple. Just make sure you're using white light on your face or just natural light outside. Make sure your two ears are showing, then crop the photo unto a white background. You can hire a professional to do it for you if you want.

Before now, a letter to renew your port is compulsory for renewal.

I captured on the 20th of October in benin and since then I was able to track my port but yesterday I checked and it's showing "No matching application status found for application number"

Has anyone experienced this please help

I opted for DIY for renewal.
I paid online on the 10th of Dec 2023
Booked for appointment on the 12 of Dec 2023 and captured that same day.
Got my port yesterday 12:Jan:2024 all in Ekiti state.
