So bad bro. If a police man could be beaten to stupor in such manner, what's the fate of average Nigerian civilians

That's the fate of the average Nigerian civilians .... he said he didn't know the victim was a Police ... meaning he thought was a civilian.

If the military is serious ... all involved need to face court marshal.... dismissed.... then arrested and charged by the Police for attempted murder.

Is this the same country some persons want me to stay with them, saying there is more money in Nigeria? Who told you those that want to leave are leaving because of money?

This is one of the reasons some persons are leaving the country. A country where humans behave like animals. If I see anybody in this platform telling anyone not to leave Nigeria, this platform will not contain both of us. I will too drag you and drag the life out of you.

When you see things like this, are you happy? Is this not enough reason for people to leave the country to a saner clime? Let me catch anyone telling people not to travel out.

When you're in a country with messed-up leadership things like this are bound to happen.

Are these not the same soldiers that were throwing tantrums because a governor had one of their men arrested for violation a traffic offense? Sometimes i wonder the kind of training our soldiers receive? The zeal and ease with which they brutalize non-soldiers is disturbing. Something drastic needs to be done. Not that I pity the policeman anyway: they are no different from the soldiers.

This is so bad...being a uniform person gives you no right to manhandle someone.
This country is still backward abeg

Police always like to claim victims, the police do the same thing to civilians so this isn't new!!

Let's talk about something else....

Both Nigerian army and police are fond of rights abuses unto Nigerians and gross violation of fundamental human rights. When they do same against each other, they will be looking for justice.

What's Nigerian Army business with traffic offence?.

Nigerian Army doing Road Safety and police work, while police is doing Road Safety and VIO work. Confusion everywhere.

We need Nigerian army more in the north central states of plateau, kaduna and Benue and even Abuja
Front of every military barracks is a no parking zone and the police man must have known that, I believe he ignored the soldiers that was why they enter am. Moreover police officers do more than what they are complaining of.

It was while in the hospital that one of officers who he had worked with him in a t Taskforce recognized him. The soldiers who tortured him to almost a point of death upon being queried by their superior said they did not know that he was a police officer.

What a ridiculous statement!

Should any human being be treated so horribly over alleged wrong packing?

Our armed forces seriously need attention especially the Nigeria Police and Nigeria Army because majority of their operatives are nothing but touts in uniform. Imagine beating someone to this extent over a mere issue..... And you still have the audacity to say you didn't know the victim is a police officer... This is after over ten men fought a single man...

The last time was Policemen fighting a lawyer who came to your station to bail his client and only for you to heat him with gun, abuse him and lock him up inside same cell with his client.

Seriously something has to be done as soon as possible because our uniform men just seen themselves above the law.
Tis is why citizens are clamouring that they want to bear fire arms. For US soldiers fit try rubbish?

This shows that only people that wear uniform in Nigeria are respected, untouchable and rights respected.
If you don't wear uniform even if you are DPO or police inspector or major General any of the Nigerian security units can kill you and still boast about it. They beat him because he was not on uniform. Seems like one of the ways to avoid harrasment in Nigeria is to wear uniform

it is quite unreasonable to brutalize anyone who for parking in a no-parking zone. Simply asking him to repark his vehicle was enough.

Truly the lower ranking soldiers are useless, the Lagos state governor was right in calling that soldier useless.... Just look at how a Nigerian citizen was almost killed police officer or not; that is a Nigerian citizen for heaven's sake that a Lance corporal wanted to kill because he felt his fragile ego was bruised. Most of these rankless soldiers are illiterates and shouldn't be in a sane environment with normal human beings. It's a pity Nigeria is gone to the dogs.

Nothing can justice the brutal act of the soldiers.... Didn't you read what was used on him.... Iron rod to the head and beaten with butts of guns and other things till he ed out. That is inhuman and even a Thief don't deserve to be beaten that way no matter the offence.

You can see the way they craftily stated the story.

For as many showing sympathy for the beated ASP, I am surprised your voices were missing when the police assaulted a lawyer in Lagos and issued a statement saying all sorts of lies.
