Have you ed a Professor at the department of your choice? I think this is the first step for you to secure this scholarship. Having a Professor ready to accept you as his research student is the first step in the right direction. You should also check if IELTS is a requirement for Nigerians doing PhD in the program. Some schools in Canada waive IELTS for Nigerians.

Have you checked if there is the English Language proficiency test exemption too? There is also a section that talks about countries exempted from the English Language proficiency test asides the general requirements.

if IETS is required then you need to write it and wait for the result before you apply or you check other schools

Please I have an important question house. I want to apply for trv visa, I have been refuse for US visa before but I am not sure if it’s 2 times or 3 times but I am very sure of being refused us visa 2015 and 2017 respectively, I am thinking it was 3 times but because it’s been years back, short memory. I can’t just , what can I do? ? I am just confused. Pls I need your best respond expert in the house

In my own opinion, since you aren't sure, state the exact details of the 2 occasions you are sure of and mention there might be a 3rd occasion you aren't sure of. This will cover you just incase there is actually a 3rd one. With this, I doubt it will be seen as misinformation or keeping away the truth from them. Also state this in your SOP.

Stating this 2 that you can is enough. Nobody is going to say u misrepresented because you didn’t mention all 3 times. It’s only a problem if you don’t state that you have Been denied visa at all.

The school does not check the authenticity of your degree or transcript. Only UK require pin verification for WAEC.
Canadian schools even univeristy only focus on your cover letter and qualification documents. Most Canadian school also requires WES as means of verification which most College in Canada don't. [s] They believe the task is left for IRCC because its a shared document which they believe you must apply with at their consulate.
If IRCC want to do there job as per background check, all federal and state uni in Nigeria that is most popular, like Unilag, Uniben, Uniport, UniMed, UniAbJ, and likes gets verified through their tertiary system robot verification.
It works with the knowledge of the school authorities and auditorium.
Why do you think schools in Canada when filling their portal and you are asked your university abroad your school will pop up automatically. And if your school is not in the system it will ask you to select (OTHER). These folks are wizards . [/s]

All thanks to the presido who have even open the eyes of America/Canada to the importance of your local degree cert before migrating to acquire from there own Univeristy or college. Chicago University comes to mind... lol 😆

I am using an immigration representative in Canadai paid for. I hope they will be able to figure that out for me? because I mention it to the representiave but they just look away. Oh b4 I forgot dis is my second application, I was refused 2022 for not disclosing uk refusal, not even the US refusal. But i indicated dis time with my Us refusal which I am not sure maybe is 2 or 3. Very complicated situation I am in. But the lawyer immigration in Canada seems comfident and just ask for my bank statement twice now

Whether a licensed immigration consultant or not, anyone can make an oversight error. So don't hesitate to write down the detailed explanation of your past refusals and send to them. Then they can appropriately use the information.
