I'm planning on starting my registration process next week or 2 weeks now and I want to do it in Ilorin. I want to go through the site, I've been told Ilorin office is DIY friendly. I want to know how long it'll take me to get it if I start the application process this month.

I had a very impressive experience at Oyo town port office yesterday. Was there to renew my wife and children's expired ports. It's DIY friendly.

Got there with my family by 8.55am. By 9.10am, officer A. A. Popoola addressed all of us seated under the shed provided. He told us about how efficient they are and that the only thing that can hinder an applicant from capturing that same day is NIN.

Few minutes later, officer M. Kasumu came out to call online applicants (DIY) to see him. I met him with all required documents, which he arranged properly for me, asked that I get yellow files for each of my family , which I did, after which he placed each documents in each file for them all and asked me to wait under the shed.

Ten minutes later, he came out to call my family and I to come for capturing. We were led into the capturing room, where my wife and children were attended to by officer Lawson and his team. They were very fast here.

I took my time to relate with all the officers that I mentioned their names, they were very friendly and did their job very well. I was told their ports would be ready within the next 3 weeks.

No one asked for a dime from me. It took us just 50 minutes to complete all the process there. Their level of professionalism amazed me. Their Oga patapata is a male and his second in command a female.

Those who came to collect their ports yesterday, where promptly attended to within minutes.

I rate them 10/10 with what I experienced there yesterday.

Yes fast and quite easy but they demanded money from him o..He applied and paid online too..he said he parted with about extra #12k there..Maybe they have changed now..that was some few months ago

No one asked me for a kobo. I saw it in the officer's body language yesterday that they were very careful with applicants.

Please how many guarantor do I need for new applicant.
Must they have asset or declare assets?

2. NIN slip containing your new name.
3. Newspaper publication for a change of name (21 days after publication).
4. Sworn affidavit from a High Court or Magistrate Court of change of name deposed to by you.
5. Payment receipt.
6. Acknowledgement slip.
7. port booklet and copy of the data page of port.
8. Application letter.

I intend going to Festac office today to check if my port is out, I've been tracking it online and I keep getting "Production is in progress" so I want to go there today and check cos I learnt that the online tracker is not reliable.. I captured on 5th May 2023 which is exactly 8 months now.

My question is, does anyone have any idea if port collection is done everyday as in Monday to Friday. I wouldn't want to go there now and they tell me "Mondays is not for port collection" Lol
This is just to avoid waste of time and transport fare.

Festac office specifically, any idea please?

Who else noticed that the immigration website is temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance?

Almost certain your port is out. 8 months is a long time, as long as there wasn't a challenge with production it should be out.

And yes! My port is out, issued on Oct 11 2023.

I just collected it and it's strictly DIY.
So when I got there and gave them my slip, the officer wrote PNA (port Not Activated) on my slip and asked me to go meet a particular lady at the issuance department... So she helped me bring out my port, I ed it and that's it.
So I gave the kind lady 1k for lunch just to show gratitude ☺️

In all, it didn't take up to 40mins..

On my way home now 😁 Thanks guys! 🤗

The port tracker is unreliable. Go back to Festac port Office to collect your port. You captured since 5th May 2023! It must have been produced.

Starting allover again , I saw #35k fiam

From the information I got, I learnt they will reduce the years on port to 3 years and fees increased. I'm not that sure if this information is real or not but I can only suggest to anyone interested in applying for port should do so fast...

On the 4th, I made mention of the increments and the reduction of years...

I believe they are just coming up, let's be expecting more surprises
