1. The option number (1) one is still the best option that will favor you because it is reasonable if your employer is sending you abroad for advanced program than your hubby .

**** However , if i were in your team , i will advice you to remove your hubby and stand with your employer alone . This is a gimmick which i will not elaborate further here .

2. You also have to change 75% of what you stated on your previous DS 160 (ie duration of work, salary, Post Graduation plans , and ties back home ) and work on your Ability to give a convincing answers to the Consular Officer .

3. Defer your ission if you cannot meet up with the correction of the above errors .

**** I am answering your question based on personal research (which is open for correction), but i hope they will not come and beat me up because none of them has been able to give any answer here... They are waiting for the 1st answer 😄


1. Whether or not you can live off your Graduate Assistant stipends depends on where your program is based because each state varies regarding to costs of living, like rent and gas prices.

2. It also depends on how shady your program is and the extent to which your Graduate Assistantship is being short-changed (It is supposed to be enough for you without additional jobs) because the inner circle usually cornered some portions of International Student's stipends .

3. A former international student in the United States wrote this on a web :.

***** In my case, my monthly expenses were:

$1200 - total paycheck
$800 - rent
Remaining $400 - utilities, internet, car insurance, food, gas, misc items (ex. The school tried to charge me for some items, like g up for classes at the gym).

I also was sending money back home during the time I was a student-employee there, ($500), so I was spending lot of money.

**** ACCORDING TO THE NARRATION OF THE ABOVE EX STUDENT , His or her $1,200 was enough but his or her other lifestyles is larger . He or she also makes extra $500 as a Student-Employee .

The options available are;
1. My office pays for my tuition deficit only, which is $14500 while my husband will pay the other deficit of $27,000

2. My husband is the sole sponsor and will pay the entire deficit of $42,000

- US student loan debt is such a concern that it has come-up in presidential campaigns/manifestos.
Irrespective of the entity posed as sponsor (i.e. employer or spouse), the question is "Why is that entity spending this much on the applicant?"
"What will the entity benefit from such considerable expense?" [this benefit should be quantifiable, think numbers in dollars or naira]
"How is the sponsor able to give-up such amount on education abroad i.e. does the sponsor have such financial capacity?" [this capacity should be independently verifiable i.e. beyond what the applicant says or presents at the interview]

Suggest:
- not being in a hurry to re-apply for visa

2. You can even get a straight PhD full scholarship without a master's degree but this can be very very challenging but NOT IMPOSSIBLE because some Universities and Funding Organizations offer direct entry PhD programs for exceptional candidates with a strong undergraduate academic records and research potential.

It varies from program to program and field, too. The best thing to do is to go to the schools or programs you've penned down for applications and check their individual requirements. You can also get the info from the program coordinator if it's not clearly specified on their website(s).

Good day everyone. I’m a pharmacy graduate planning to do my Masters in the US, UK, or Canada. I’m planning to apply for full international scholarship this year to further my study. I’m hoping my first-class degree will land me a scholarship or some sort of free tuitions and other benefits.

Presently, I have gotten my transcript and certificates (university, secondary school). I also have my international port though I will need to renew it as I just noticed it will expire this month.

My area of interest for the Masters program can be summarized as “Drug discovery for diseases caused by pathogenic organisms.”

Right now, I’m very confused about the whole process. Parts of my confusions are as follow:

- Which schools do you think I should focus on applying to base on my area of research interest? I have been checking different schools online. This website (https://www.findamasters.com/masters-degrees/?Keywords=drug+discovery) provided some list but most of the schools are in the UK. I would prefer US because I saw that there are more pharmaceutical industries in the US that are into drug discovery.

- What are the preparations I need to make? Someone told me I need to write GRE/TOEFL, Statement of Purpose, etc.

- How does the scholarship works? Must I gain ission before scholarship or apply to scholarship before school? Is there any other way to get tuition-free ission as well as other benefits such as accommodation, stipends, health insurance, etc.?
