No be lie ! At 34 and earning over 200k ? Thats surely 'a connect ' ,and he must have even gotten the job earlier, thank God for him though. If you are 34 and is at that level under the federal government, why not be patient, work smart ,study ,earn more qualifications and advance your career
even in this nation ?you can even diversify with Tech jobs and be a guru soon, but as usual ,once we get this public jobs ,most of us become mentally redundant and too stagnated capacity wise, goto the civil service and see lots of them there.
Emma1Oj:
You read what I wrote and comprehend and use your tongue to count your teeth. Only connection will give you such opportunity so early.

Mind I'm not against your age, job or connection. I just need you to comprehend.

Hey chief, I am eager to understand what you mean by this please.

What's your question? Understand what exactly? I can't repeat the same thing. Where's your confusion? By the way, I hope you know I missed a word somewhere in that comment - I think the first line.

of course he will be one of the cabals or was connected by one of the cabals. Because, only connection will give a 34yrs(if true) above 200k federal job when their are federal professors, medical and teachers etc in their 50's , 60's still earning less than 100k or a little abv 100k.

Who is this?
Professors, medicals earning 100k?
Before I left Nigeria 2 yrs ago, I was already earning 250k in a state govt own institution.
Go and do certificate courses and open your mind, you would understand what I’m saying. I’m even a year younger than the op.

@op, for u to be earning that money in Naija, u would earn 200k equivalent in a day in Uk if you work in your field.

It's you that is bereft of ideas.

You are also myopic, always been satisfied with little and always afraid to take risk.
I know your type.
So, at 34 he should keep wasting his destiny here waiting for salary increment every 4 to 5 years abi?

so what ideas do you have in your head pls tell me

if it is not japa, tell me something new

If you can comfortably pay your bills and have some funds to save, please stay in Nigeria and develop yourself further in your career. For you to be earning more than 200k in your FG job tells me that you have a good job with career prospects. Therefore, I will suggest you stay and climb in your career as a civil servant.

Obodo oyibo no easy, suffer dey there o. Japa is not for everybody, and you don't strike me as one of those who should travel out of the country for greener pastures. Just my thought sha.

God bless u for saying the Truth. This is exactly what am ing through now.. see the right lady is my biggest problem.. sometimes I just feel like jumping into marriage whether she is the right lady or not.. I don't just want to know.

You waiting for so long too doesn't mean u will still meet the right person.
Marriage is luck and grace and there is now how you date the girl just to fish out if she is right or wrong ..
It's all about risk and get some needs or what u need from a woman at least 70% is fine...

Then start don't wait until u will turn 60years when u will need them or when u might have retired and by then who will train them 🤔

So it's earliar you decide and I pray u get it right 👍

God bless u for saying the Truth. This is exactly what am ing through now.. see the right lady is my biggest problem.. sometimes I just feel like jumping into marriage whether she is the right lady or not.. I don't just want to know.

I understand how you feel. You are not alone. But I must tell you, you can't afford to be with the wrong woman as a man. She will make life miserable for you. You need to get it right and this is where you have to be intentional about it but not with desperation.

Taking Williams Uchemba as an example. When Uchemba was looking to settling down, before he met his current wife he is married to now, he said he has other ladies he was relating with at the time.

However, those particular ladies didn't tick the major box for him. They were still lacking in some important qualities he really wants in a woman.

He felt quite confused at the time, and guess what he did! He said he fervently prayed about it asking God to give him the right woman. Take note, he prayed for the right woman.

After sometimes, miraculously, he ended up meeting this his present wife. He examined her and discovered that she actually ticked all the major boxes for him in of being with the right woman.

That's why I earlier said that when it comes to finding the right woman, it's not something you do alone with your human wisdom. You need to seek a celestial help from above. You need to intentionally pray about it, asking whichever God you serve to guide you, depending on your religion. You need to seek devine direction.

Now this verse of the Bible comes to mind.

biblegateway.com

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. - Philippians 4:6 NIV.

Now, let me tell you 1 to 2 of the reasons Uchemba married that his wife. He said he married his wife because;

1. She is godly, loyal and has respect

2. She gives him peace of mind

3. She isn't materialistic

4. She is ive

Those are the different boxes she ticks for him. Having dated her for sometimes, he discovered she was the one for him. How did he arrive at that? He prayed for it and he got exactly what he asked for. He discovered this particular lady was different from the rest of the ladies he was relating with.

So, as young men who are due for marriage, let's borrow some lessons from Williams Uchemba as we look out for that rightful one.

i have a neigbour that got married to someone living in uk . The lady is a federal govt worker , after a year she her husband in uk. She abandoned her fed govt job though she applied 4 leave without pay. Her brother told me that her sister is currently working in three diference places and what she per day is more than her monthly salary in nigeria. I will advice to apply 4 leave without pay and relocate abroad. If u didnt succeed there u can stil comeback and have ur job back.this is my candid advice.

Hello sir.
Do u ave any idea about barbecue business. Is it lucrative?
Eriokanmi:
Let me ask you this OP. After finishing your programme, what do you plan to do with your certificate? I ask this because there's no such automatic job anymore. I have a friend by the name ngozi who relocated to the UK for her master's degree in 2016. She looked for jobs in the UK as a lawyer but nothing came her way. As a fashionista that she was, she decided to set up a website where she was posting clothing and designs for people to make orders. She doesn't know how to sew clothes. Enquiries started flowing in from UK, US, , Canada, etc as Nigerians in the diaspora were busy sharing her s.

She had one tailor at surulere before she left. She'd take measurements from interested customers and their designs and send back home to her tailor to sew. Once clothes are ready, her brother will collect them and dispatch directly to customers overseas. The business recorded huge growth and she added another tailor in Nigeria. These 2 tailors are always fully booked from January to December. They don't do anything else. They're fully committed to ngozi's jobs.
The last time we spoke, she said she makes 2,700 pounds monthly as profit. She only occupies a small room in the UK, no staff, she pays no tax, no office. Which law firm would pay her that?

No job my guy. Stay on that fed govt job and add some side business and grow it. You'd fall back on it after retirement. Don't forget that government work is less tedious. You have your time to do whatever you want. Forget all those tiktok videos those in the diaspora are sharing oo. Many I'd them would run back home if they were offered a Fed Govt job.

Marriage should be the least of your plans. Things have changed now. Within 6 years of marriage, you're done with having kids and if God now blesses you with multiple births, your house go full. Be wise.

Hello.
Can u explain dis more?
Are u saying that they are not paid enough pension after retirement?
What about those working in NNPC, are they still paid poor pension?

I thought we all go to federal or state job because of the pensions we are to receive in old age.
UncleKoboko:

You were making sense until the last part where you said "GET A GOOD PENSION" grin
EVEN AS A CBN TOP MANAGEMENT STAFF, YOU WILL NEVER RETIRE AND GET A GOOD PENSION WITH ANY FEDERAL JOB IN THIS COUNTRY.
FEDERAL JOB IS A COMPLETE SLAVERY WITH ONLY THE ADVANTAGE OF LOOTING SOMETIMES AND THE OPPORTUNITY FREEDOM.

IN MOST CASES, YOUR SALARY AFTER RETIREMENT IS USUALLY DIVIDE BY 10-100 OF YOUR LAST SALARY IN ACTIVE SERVICE. DON'T LET ANYONE DECEIVE YOU.

What is the easiest way to enter US?
I heard their visa is so though.
OChimex:

If you can move to th US, it will be better. Your life, your future and your plans will be more stable and secure. But now that you are single, is the best time to do it.
From experience, living in the US affords you with ease what only being a billionnaire in Nigeria can afford you.
But the thing be say, here in the US you must be hard working and smart, more than you are in nigeria. Coming from a lazy govt job, you might struggle and feel stressed.

If i come to the uk, can i bake and sell things like eggroll, fishpie, doughnuts, puff puff and make money?
aameyah:

You can make that 200k in two days in the UK.
Once you are someone who is a stickler to the rules (you do not harass women or underaged girls, you are prudent, you love the quiet life), then you will do well in the UK.
Also, don't put time limit on things like marriage. Work towards it bit let it come when it will come. Anything other than that would make you desperate and then you are bound to make mistakes.
Love800(m): 1:06pm On Jan 03, 2024
But will the pension be paid?
I heard that the govt dont pay it.

And also that guy u mentioned was talking abt good pension. What does he mean by dat? Is it dat the govt pays little or peanut as pension?
motymop:

That is a very big lie. You obviously don't know what you are typing

Pension is a contribution you make from your salary.

What you contribute is what you will get at the end of your service.

Also position are not stagnant, with promotion comes increase in salaries and more allowance and benefit.

You are also entitled to a mortgage and car loan
