NNPC charity should start from their house- by supplying their own Refineries to the NNPC entities!
•Why should they tell a good story on Dangote Refineries but couldn't do so with - Port Harcourt,Warri and Kaduna? That is Deceitfulness!
Unless- all those that were there during the Destructions of NNPC leaves, nothing good can be achievable!
•Can NNPC be like ARAMCO of Saudi Arabia? No because of heavy Corruption! A Corrupt Official cannot hold another Corrupt Official- just like a late comer cannot hold other late comers!

I got exact same info 2 days ago from an insider. No wonder those foreign financial organizations don't factor in local production of fuel when predicting the state of our economy for 2024.

Good news. While we wait with bated breath for the refinery to start refining crude oil, I think it's imperative to start educating majority of Nigerians that when the refined products (diesel, kerosene, jet fuel, motor spirit, etc.) start coming out from the Dangote Refinery, it won't automatically translate to a significant drop in the price of petrol/fuel in the country.

Most people are only anxious about the refinery to work because they believe it'll bring down the cost of fuel/petrol but that won't be the case; while there'll be slight drop in the pump price, the difference between what we're currently paying now & what will obtain when Dangote Refinery starts supplying fuel/petrol to major marketers may not exceed N200 per litre (i.e it could be up to but not more than N200 difference per litre).

Any hopes of fuel pump price going back to N165/L or even N220/L is a pipe dream; until we arrest the dwindling value of the Naira or reintroduce subsidies, we won't pay anything <N400/L even if PHRC & Dangote Refinery combined work optimally.

Yes they mentioned. They said after 6 million barrels of crude have been received, they would start. Currently, they've received 4 million barrels.

They need a supply of at least 10 million barrels a month to run anywhere close to full capacity. This is a decent start as I think we're now up to about 6 million barrels supplied but there needs to be a more reliable pipeline of supply to sustain operations, if not I see Dangote having to import.

Again, the commitment of the Nigerian government is crucial here.
