Kai, even if you go to the job everyday of the month, you'll still have ₦70k by the end of the month, let me tell you, no one will give you that amount while you're sitting at home jobless.
Paltry? It'll be hard to find an FG job that pays above that, entry level without serious connect.
Sha I don't want to seem like I'm bullying you, but this 2024 , I really hope you'll start appreciating what you have, so you can see a better future with clear eyes.
I knew some of you here will quote the guy and say this nonsense. 130k salary is what you're idolizing? say na private sector be this. if its a government job , he can still manage by taking some days off when he's broke. But private, nobody wan hear story. 130k is really paltry for a private sector to be honest most especially when you're spending almost 2k on transports everyday? 70k monthly is what you're left with, feeding nko, fuel for gen and other things? I doubt you'll be able to have any savings at the end of the month. Most times you will be in serious debt sef . 70k wey many private school teachers who trek to school to and fro everyday dey earn and are still complaining.

If you're earning 130k, you don't have a business owning a generator in this present economy grin. The government job that most people are dying to enter, most don't pay up to that for a start except from those class A or Class B jobs as you guys named them here grin. Immigration no go even pay you 130k as entry level. And mind you not every government job will allow you to be off from work because you are broke especially if you are a uniform personnel. Private work maybe tiring which i I'm 100 percent with you in that aspect but just know that some of us here are even looking for atall atall e bad . That 70k left for him after transportation is level 07 entire salary as a paramilitary officer wey get wife and pikin for house. Nobody is saying 130k job is a good pay, but claiming you are thinking of suicide is a big no for me. Infact God go reject your soul

Wow! Thank you so much bro... If I'm not mistaken, you're the guy from Niger that wanted to sell his Motorcycle then?
Shariiiif:
OLARENWAJU May God Vindicate you, i don't know you in person and i am very much sure you don't know me too... we met here around January last year and exchange . We try to make a deal for NATIONAL LIBRARY OF NIGERIA then I am desperately in need of a job (But now Alhamdullh, I am gainfully Employed). You told me the amount and clearly informed me you are NOT the owner of the slot but just a middle Man....

I doubted given my money and you assuared me to get a refund if it didn't work well. Still YET am not satisfied and i LIE to you that i am about to Sale a Property to make the Payment just to ignore the deal. To my Surprise, You advise me NOT to sale anything in exchange for a Job i am not sure of, You ask me to be Patience that if everything works well you will notified me to come with the money and get the APL...

Until now, we haven't communicated again. that shows the deal isn't guarantee then. I still have your ....

I don't know your deal with the said Lady, BUT i will advice you refund her money so that your name will be vindicated...

Happy New Year to all of us.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. I don't want to say much. I know Olanrewaju to some extent. I'm not sure if he can still this name. But we've talked well on WhatsApp before. The guy is not a scammer and have a very pure heart. But unfortunately his connection got it wrong this time around. I've had dealings with his connect too personally before i even met Olanrewaju here and as i type too i still have some money that is hook. A scammer won't even have the time to respond back to you personally or here on nairaland, avoid giving people bad name just because it didn't work out. People shouting he should refund should understand better how this shit works. It's only when he's been refunded that he can also refund. And also that the person Olanrewaju paid to also paid to another person and goes like that till it reach the main source. Well that shit doesn't concern the person that paid Olanrewaju though since the money was being paid into Olanrewaju's , but nevertheless let's exercise patience. If you go and use police to carry him today, he will only write an undertaken that this is how much he can afford to be refunding you per month or per 2 months or whatever and their is absolutely nothing you can do to that. You that paid for job and the person that you paid too are both criminals infront of the law. Know this and know peace ✌️

Amen to that.

This thing is pretty simple. Anyone can open four different Nairaland s. When their yansh is open in one , they will quickly use the other s to douse tension.

Impossibilities do not exist.

No wonder. Don't worry when you start earning around 130k in lagos. you'll realise its not really different from being jobless.

In the north or some parts of the country, that money might be a bit decent. Infact 130k in a state like kwara is equivalent to earning almost 350k+ in lagos. I worked and lived in kwara some years back. I was earning about 75k then and still balling.

Ignore this people. Most of them are still corpers πŸ˜‚. Everyone wants to start big. Nobody is saying 130k is big, but you are jobless, they offered you 130k job are you going to reject it because it can't cater for your expenses? Or you doing 130k job are you going to resign and go back to nothing because 130k job can't cater for your expenses. Let it be loud and clear, nobody is in of 130k job,all I'm saying is that you manage what you have and look for a bigger opportunity and not by committing suicide because you are underpaid

Pray for him & ask him to assist you for federal government employment. Tell him you are interested in the ongoing Fair Service (if you are actually interested) follow them up gradually. God will help you..

I will never blame the one paying. The blame is on the one promising heaven and earth when government is about to change hands. He knows government is about to change hands and he is still ready to sell slots! Just imagine that.

I am not even particular about the money. It is the timing for me. We know things like this comes with its own risk yet we do "calculated risk". Both dem no do their calculated risk well.

Different strokes for different folks. Our eyes sees what we want it to see. Reality on ground tells me 130k is not just a big deal. It is a biggest deal. Some were able to get to that sum based on years of serious work and live comfortably and fine while a person just starting is lamenting over that same sum. When they pay him his next salary, he can choose to give it out instead of committing suicide perhaps that will made him understand how difficult it is to get another before he gets paid the following month.

Shows how low the country has gotten.

What should be the minimum wage as it stands based on how high the country should be?

Please, I need a genuine slot for Academic Staff position in any Federal University or Federal Polytechnic in the South East or South-South between now and March this year. I have Master's degree in Economics with over 10 years industrial experience.
I am optimistic that there will be openings in Federal Tertiary Institutions this year, due to their exemption from IPPIS.
Kindly, link me up with any genuine Slot.
