Good evening guys,
I must thank everyone for always sharing information about schengen visa application. Please I need your answers. I submitted my application for Italian schengen visit visa at TLS Lagos on 14th November. On the day of submission, TLS officials rejected my property documents, marriage certificate, birth certificates of my children and some other documents because I didn't bring their originals. I have been hoping that the embassy will reach out to me to supply those documents since I mentioned in my cover letter that I attached them to my application. I didn't get any call, today I received an email from TLS for port pick up.
Please does it mean my application was approved or declined? I expected an email from them stating their decision on the application but I didn't. I am just worried. Kindly assist with answers.

I applied for 9 days and they gave same. They only extended the visa validity by additional 14 days.
The following documents were submitted.
This was my second attempt at Schengen visa, Belgium refused me in July this year.
1. Travel Insurance
2. Original and copy of Travel document.
3. Evidence of my trip to Maldives in October, my only travel history.
4. Employment Offer Letter, Promotion Letter and Evidence of Salary Increase.
5. Letter of Introduction from my Employer.
6. Evidence of Leave Plan for 2024.
7. Six Months’ Salary Pay Slips.
8. Income Tax Clearance Certificate covering 3 years.
9. My Salary Statement with bal of 7m
10. Domiciliary Statement with bal of $10k
11. Fixed Deposit Investment Certificate for 10m
12. Letter of Reference from bank A
13. Letter of Reference and Pension Statement from my Pension Managers
14. Professional Certificate
15. Copies of Marriage Certificate and my Children’s Birth Certificates were rejected.
16. Property Documents and valuation report were rejected because I didn't bring the originals. Only Lands Payments Receipts were accepted.
17. Evidence of bookings covering planned activities and tours.
18. Detailed itinerary with dates and planned activities.
19. Flight and hotel reservations.

Those mentalos at TLS did same to me and my family last year

I posted here on Nairaland my fears. In fact, they wrote on our application incomplete documents. I asked the guy, he said because he didn't see the originals, he decided to write incomplete documents.

After 30 days, we were granted multiple entry.

That's how they do

-strong justification for the trip
-sufficient home ties
-sufficient funds and evidence of same
-proper evidence of activities to be carried out
-proper evidence of intended accommodation
-flight booking

If you present the required documents broadly covering this either for a business or tourist intention, then you have a high probability of being granted visa to their country.

For business, there's a high probability you'll be given those short stays (5 days, 7 days, 14 days), while tourist has a higher probability that you'll get a 1 month multiple for a start.

You can use your company . But you have to provide strong justification why the company is sponsoring the trip. Because ideally, company finances is not supposed to be indiscriminately appropriated by you.
