This priest must not fail the Catholic Church. You cannot loot state resources to give a wife and children you don't have... unless you have a secret nuclear family somewhere. 1 Like |

Politics is dicey, and while we all commented Alia, he should thread carefully. There's no doubt about it: with or without APC, Alia would have won, and to that extent, Akume cannot lay claim to 'I put you there" god father type compelex, like we have in Rivers. But all the same, totally abandoning the party is NOT the way to go about it. Whether we like it or not, party must have a say to some extent in the selection of key officials. This according to reports is the main grouse they have. For instance the recent selection of LGA caretaker chairman for the state, which apart from Tarka, he almost singlehandedly choose all of them on his own. And this after he allegedly asked the party to send in names of thier respective nominees. |

There must be something wrong with the godfather of Benue politics, Akume. He had problems with Ortom and now Alia. He should face his SGF jooor. Nonsense!

If not for Akume, who is Mr Kula to make such useless statement. His statement have been showing clearly that he is doing anti-party. Himself and Paul Biam are falling the Alia's empire. He talks before thinking.

Tinubu should not be called for every matter, we are hungry, only economic matter alone is more than enough for Tinubu to focus on please. I won't take nonsense if by this time next year I can't see devidence of my vote for Tinubu and APC 1 Like |

Alaigbo: Surely he would have won, even with the Labour Party. Alia gave APC a better image and another opportunity in Benue state. Alia’s had become the biggest name in 2023 by the election. If he loses, APC is lost in Benue. If Benue must be developed, the old brigade of looters and thieves must be thrown away. If that is exactly what Alia is doing, he then is on track. 3 Likes |

alezzy13:But this news doesn't say anything about party or you read other thing that I didn't read? Benue National Assembly says Fr. Alia didn't carry them along and not didn't carry the party along. Please must you comment out of point? Mind you his failure will not be traceable to anyone but himself. If he feels choosing people that will work with him, if I may ask you, what is wrong with that? Today we call every past governors and presidents either as failure or hardworking people but not those that worked or not worked with them. All this cry of the Benue National Assembly by your insinuation should be from the APC. Those people are just dancing macabre dance and nothing more. |

mrvitalis: Does that now make him greater than the Party? Should the Party now close shop and allow him to combine the Party roles with his roles as Gov and Party chairman? Rev Father should not destroy the Party bcoz he would need the Party someday bcoz when Benue people "change am" for him after all he's not a saint. |

He would have won. People were tired of PDP and the candidate for the APC wouldn't have matched Alia's popularity and acceptance. The only thing APC can boasts of if Alia is not with them is the ability to rig and manipulate the results given if INEC is compromised

Tareq1105:For now Alia is greater than APC because it took his popularity and his religion inclination for APC to have won many posts in the last general elections. If not him, APC would have been in vacuum in Benue state. The saving grace for other parties in the next elections is to field his kind, as to equalize his popularity and religion colouration. Besides, from the news the party didn't complain about him, it is only the of the party and I don't think they constitute a whole party or are they of the Benue APC executives? |
