They told her to consider booking another flight.

Yes, egyptair will send her back to lagos from Cairo, if she's booking later than 3weeks to her resumption date. That's the immigration law in Cairo regarding student travel.
For example: for January 8th resumption, your egyptair ticket must not be later than 17th December, 2023.
I got this info from their office in V/I, I wanted to book 27th December, but they advised I book 17th instead. As from the 18th Dec, it is considered that you're flying at a date too close to your resumption, and apparently it's a big deal for Cairo's immigration officers.
I also heard they'll look at your documents too at Cairo; tuition payment, ission letter etc

Please is school fees refundable if an initial deposit is been paid without getting an approval?
