FuckingMachine: Rufai was not a basket till 1998 when he was too old and they dragged him out of International retirement when Ike Shorunmu broke his leg and Abiodun Baruwa proved incompetent in a 5-1 loss to Yugoslavia Rufai in 1998 was just doing Naija a favour, he was way over the hill by then. Rufai prior to that was quality 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Enyeama. I how that dude tie his shoe lace to go under his boat and eventually scoring a penalty with that. We all thought it was voodoo. 1 Like |

Sam okparaji remains the best. May His soul continue to Rest in Peace. Taribo West comes second Jay Jay okocha comes third. Nwankwo kanu comes fourth. OP is an indomie generation and don't know the best of the super eagles |

FuckingMachine: Good, but Rufai did go to two world cups. Also he was quite good. Only problem he had was with crosses and corners (as seen in Zambia's goal in the 1994 AFCON final). 1 Like 1 Share |

TechBaron:Enyeama smashed all the records. It has nothing to do whether you were born in 80s. Won several MOTM awards Rufai was a disaster in 98 World cup |

I grew knowing Vincent enyeama as the best we ever head, the only goalkeeper who comes close to enyeama in our set up in recent years is Carl ikeme. But unfortunately he suffered leukemia which truncated his professional career. He is still a big miss, far better than the clowns in goalpost we are currently parading.

TechBaron: Peter Rufai was very normal. He's just slightly better than Uzuoho. If you were born in the 80s then your problem is nostalgia. No be only Rufai. Rufai wey be basket. Enyeama is clear 3 Likes |

TechBaron: The Eagles in the 1980's had a good run...though we kept on narrowly missing the world cup (1982 v Algeria..who went on to have a good run at the world cup, only to be denied by German wuru wuru, the only good thing was that FIFA finally woke up and changed some rules and 1986 v Tunisia) and we kept on getting to the finals of the Nations cup and losing (1984 v Cameroon, 1988 v Cameroon again, FU cameroon, 1990 v Algeria). |

FuckingMachine: Rufai is ten times better than Vincent, and I stand by that. We qualified for the first world cup with an away draw at algeira with Peter rufai been Rock solid at the post. Our first world cup is the best world cup we ever had and Peter was a backbone of that team. Yes, at club level Vincent made some marks, so is rufai in Spain among other countries. 4 Likes 1 Share |

It's a difficult choice. Names I recall include people like Emmanuel Okala and Lawal Inua Rigogo (both of blessed memory), Peter Rufai, and of course Vincent Enyeama. Enyeama is the best, if we go by stats though. He had a lot of caps and lasted very long for us. 1 Like |

Peter Rufai. Followed by Ike shorumu, followed by Joseph Disu who's stint was cut short due to a road accident. While Vincent Enyeama is the best in recent times. But the overall best is the list above 1 Like |
