The House of Representatives says the operating licenses of the five Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOs) in the country, expired in October, urging them to renew their licenses for operations.

Rep. Bamidele Salam, the Chairman of the Public Committee of the House said this at the resumed investigative hearing on the operations of the DISCOs in Abuja on Thursday.

Salam emphasised the financial instability of some DISCOs and their inability to access the intervention fund intended to enhance their capacity.

“Under the of the agreement signed with the apex bank and the Project Management Office (PMO), the DISCOs are obligated to repay the substantial loan within 120 months,” he said. (NAN)

This disco palaver is what shows that the political class are united in looting while their Zombies tear themselves to pieces defending them.
Jonathan was blamed for how the discos turned out. Unknown to many APC Zombies, the licenses of these Discos were renewed in 2018 while they were still blaming GEJ. Now it's 2023, their licenses will be renewed by another APC president while they will still be blaming GEJ

So just force them to repay their loans. No new and conditions to bring out the country from lack of stable electricity that is also crippling the economy!?
